Check it out&#8230;<\/p>\n<h2>Surprise Proposal at School<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/rBFRStrH6QE?rel=0&amp;controls=0\" frameborder=\"0\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Jon Holt and Iris Howorth are both teachers at Chalmette High School in Chalmette, Louisiana. The school has played a huge part in their story over the past three years, so it only seemed appropriate that\u2019s where Holt decided to pop the big question.<\/p>\n<p>On April 24, the students in Howorth\u2019s third-period English class got just about\u00a0as big of a surprise\u00a0and she did.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt was a last-minute decision to not tell the kids until the minute before it was happening,\u201d Holt said, knowing that a bunch of excited high schoolers may not be able to\u00a0keep the secret. \u201cI ordered 100 balloons and a whole bunch of ring pops,\u201d referring to the candies on rings.<\/p>\n<p>Holt also arranged for the principal to knock on Howorth\u2019s door asking if he could meet with her quickly in his office. Meanwhile, Holt was nervously hiding in the stairwell next door with the school\u2019s entire brass band in tow, waiting for the perfect chance to escape. \u201cJust imagine a bunch of kids with huge instruments trying to be quiet,\u201d he quipped. But then they all screamed and were so excited and I said, \u2018Who\u2019s the funny guy? Who\u2019s the class clown? Whenever the moment\u2019s right, get down on one knee and propose to Ms. Howorth. But then after you\u2019re done with that, I need someone else to do it and so on and so on.\u201d The kids followed orders perfectly.<\/p>\n<p><em>Congrats to the happy couple!
