“Jason took me out during the day for a picnic at the Botanic Gardens, visiting some of my favourite places along the way. We finished off the perfect day with a stunning view of the city as we dined at O Bar & Dining\u2026which is where I was sure he was going to propose. But dinner came and went\u2026and no proposal! In fact, during dinner he suggested we meet up with our friends for drinks after. Friends? Drinks? Seriously?”<\/p>\n
“Confused but still grateful for the wonderful day we\u2019d had together, we found our friends and ordered drinks. Not long after, Jason disappeared excusing himself to go to the bathroom. Since my hopes of being proposed to that day were long gone, I didn\u2019t think much of it\u2026until much later, when my friend Kate, got a suspicious text. Next thing I knew, a key was placed in my hands and I was being ushered across the room towards the lifts, with instructions on what floor and room to go to.\u00a0When I got to the room, I opened the door to find the place covered in rose petals and fairy lights, one of my favourite things in the world \u2026and Jason down on one knee with Somewhere Over the Rainbow playing in the background.”<\/p>\n
“I used to joke around with Jason all the time, saying that there\u2019s no way he\u2019d be able to take me out to propose, without me catching on. I suppose I was sort of right, but nonetheless, he still proved me wrong!”<\/p>\n

“We attended a wedding expo the day after our engagement party.\u00a0While we were there, someone handed me a flyer with a wedding dress on it as I was passing by in my state of delirium. I wasn\u2019t the kind of girl that had been planning my wedding since I was 12, so I didn\u2019t have a folder filled with ideas \u2013 and the dress was no exception! But when I saw this dress, I fell in love instantly. Time went by and I ended up trying on a bunch of dresses, but none made my heart melt like the Hailey Paige I\u2019d seen on the flyer at the wedding. I knew it had to be a sign that I couldn\u2019t stop thinking about it, so I found out where I could try the dress on and never looked back. To make it my own, I used beautifully beaded appliques to make straps for my dress…using what was left to make a\u00a0matching hair piece.”<\/p>\n
<\/a><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n<\/a><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\nThe Vision<\/h2>\n
“We really wanted our day to feel like a fairy-tale\u2026beautiful, classy and meaningful, with sandstone buildings and a touch of Tuscany.\u00a0We did the boutonnieres and all the flowers ourselves. I definitely couldn\u2019t have done without my incredible mum. It was a lot of hard work, but it was all worth it in the end. I wouldn\u2019t change a thing.”<\/p>\n
