The Beginning<\/h2>\n

“James and I met at university in London during my first year, we bonded over drinks in Covent Garden one afternoon and it all started from there\u2026”<\/p>\n

The Proposal<\/h2>\n

“We were on holiday in Cancun and James proposed to me as we were strolling along the beach after dinner one night \u2013 it was all very romantic, I couldn\u2019t think of a lovelier setting so he planned it well! There is a funny story behind it though as James wanted to propose on 20th<\/sup> May and had asked the resort staff to prepare Champagne and roses in our hotel room so that we could celebrate afterwards, but because of the jetlag I just wanted to go straight to bed after dinner so he had to rush back from the restaurant and told the staff to get rid of the drinks and flowers before I found out anything! \u00a0The next night, James insisted that he wanted to see the stars on the beach and I felt bad to say no again so went along with him and glad I did!”<\/p>\n

The Photographer<\/h2>\n

“Alistair<\/a> was brilliant and lovely to work with. He certainly made us feel comfortable in front of the camera and to this day we are still shocked about how nice the photos turned out to be!\u00a0 Friends and family couldn\u2019t stop complimenting every time they look at our wedding pictures which is always nice to hear.”<\/p>\n

The Venue<\/h2>\n

“We were impressed with the friendliness of the hotel staff; the luxurious feel of the whole place; quality of the food and the variety of the menu available. More importantly, the Chestnut Suite was exactly what we were looking for in terms of size and floorplan. We also really liked the fact that we could have the dance floor in the same room.”<\/p>\n

“Honestly, everything about the venue has the wow factor. I couldn\u2019t stop smiling the moment we went through the hotel gate as the landscape of the whole place is just breath-taking. Tylney Hall<\/a> itself looks stunning and the grounds surrounding it offer the perfect backdrops for our big day. The fact that the building is Listed Grade II makes it even more special. What most impressed us is the food choices available to our guests.\u00a0 It\u2019s brilliant that they could pre-order for a starter, main course and dessert!”<\/p>\n

Wedding Attire<\/h2>\n

“I had two wedding dresses! I just couldn\u2019t choose between the princess and mermaid styles so I had two made at the end ? I\u2019m lucky to have both as it meant that I could have a long train on the princess style wedding dress for the church ceremony and the wedding breakfast.\u00a0 When it came to the evening part, I changed into a high halter neck mermaid dress with a much shorter train so that I could dance the night away.”<\/p>\n

Wedding Theme<\/h2>\n

“Given Tylney Hall already has such romantic settings and an elegant feel to it, we didn\u2019t have to over-decorate the venue, hence we decided to simply put a light touch on the fireplace and each table with beautiful fresh flowers, candles, gold hearts and had lots of fairy lights up to create an even warmer atmosphere.”<\/p>\n

Special Moments<\/h2>\n

“Our big day was made up of many special moments including when both of my parents walked me down the aisle; the moment when James called me \u201chis wife\u201d for the first time but I guess the funniest part had to be the band playing the wrong \u201cfirst dance song\u201d.\u00a0 James quickly told them it wasn\u2019t our song but the pianist just said to keep going but luckily it was a cheerful one to dance to and was among our top three choices anyway. Later on in the night, it was very sweet of James\u2019s Dad to ask the DJ to play our real first dance song.”<\/p>\n
