Proposals are quite a common topic here in the WeddingDates office. We\u2019re constantly a float with fun and exciting engagement stories\u2026. There just always seems to be a friend, a cousin or someone we know who\u2019s just after getting engaged. And this got us thinking, what are your favourite proposal stories?
\nHere are some of our all time favourite proposal ideas:<\/p>\n

Your First Date\/Where You First Met<\/h2>\n

Bringing it all back to you started is such a lovely way to be proposed to. It\u2019s a great starting off point into leading up to the actual proposal. There will be fond memories to reignite there and it shows how much your loved one cares to bring you back there. It doesn\u2019t have to be the first date spot but a place you first locked eyes or spoke can be just as thoughtful.<\/p>\n

The Bait and Switch<\/h2>\n

We love hearing unexpected surprise stories here in the office. And because we have two former Hoteliers in the office, we have a great volume of stories to work from! Recently, we heard a story of a bride who was proposed to coming home from the airport only to be whisked off again to their favourite destination. How lovely is that?<\/p>\n

Your \u2018Special\u2019 Place<\/h2>\n

So many couples have their own \u2018special\u2019 spot they always go back to. It could be a beach that you walk together regularly, your local park or favourite restaurant\u2026 wherever!<\/p>\n
