The couple will more than likely initiate this but if they don\u2019t, feel free to organise something yourself! Dinner at a casual restaurant or inviting them over for an evening is usually the best option for relaxing and getting to know each other.<\/p>\n

Keep Calm<\/h2>\n

If you\u2019re daughter has become a little on the bridezilla side of requests, help her with a little perspective. An important role of the mother of the bride is to be the shoulder to cry on but to give a little tough love too! If you have a solid relationship, the bride will trust your opinion and listen to any advice you give her.<\/p>\n

Dress the Part<\/h2>\n

Whether you\u2019re the mother of the bride or any other part of the bridal party<\/a>, there are some easy rules of the thumb to go by. Firstly, go by the style and theme of the wedding. If it\u2019s casual and beachy, go with that! And if you\u2019re not sure, just ask. While you don\u2019t need to match the bride\u2019s gown, it\u2019s a good idea for both moms go with similar styles. The only major no-no? White! While brides may not mind that rule nowadays for guests, the bridal party should keep away from all white or shades close to it.<\/p>\n
