The Howard offers an intimate, personal and charming venue for your wedding reception in Scotland. We caught up with Charles Granleese, Front of House Manager, to find out what goes into a beautiful venue such as this<\/em>.<\/p>\n

The Howard is so picturesque inside, where is your favorite spot in the hotel?<\/strong><\/p>\n

My favourite spot in the hotel is our Cumberland Suite, where we hold wedding receptions. The room itself has so much charm and character it makes a fantastic location to hold wedding receptions.<\/p>\n

Tell us about your wedding menu!<\/strong><\/p>\n

Our menu is Scottish fine dining, featuring the best that the country has to offer in terms of seasonal dishes and traditional favorites. We have a wedding brochure which contains a large list of our chef\u2019s favorites \u2013 however it is important to note that we pride ourselves on being able to offer bespoke service to our couples at every stage, and this includes the menu.<\/p>\n

Wedding couples often come with their own ideas for the menu and our Head Chef, William Poncelet, is more than happy to meet, discuss the dishes and offer sample tastings so that couples get exactly what they want on the day. This means our offering can be extremely flexible; we once did a wedding for a couple from Australia where almost every dish was bespoke!<\/p>\n

What do your couples love most about weddings at The Howard?<\/strong><\/p>\n

We operate a full butler service at the hotel and this also extends to our wedding service. This is a rather unique feature and I think our wedding couple love having a team of butlers on hand to serve their food, drinks and help with any other aspects of the day. It\u2019s something memorable to look back on years later!<\/p>\n

If you could have any wedding guest perform at your wedding, who would it be?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Lastly, what advice would give to couples looking to celebrate their day at The Howard Hotel?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Come along and chat to us, or if you can\u2019t physically come along then drop us an email or call the hotel. We are always more than happy to give couple tours of the hotel function suites and bedrooms so that they can get a feel for the building and this is completely without any commitment.
