Don\u2019t be surprised if this happens to you. The wedding is over, the honeymoon<\/a> tan lines are fading and you realize something. You\u2019ve spent so long think about your wedding day, planning every inch out of it that you\u2019ve forgotten one little part\u2026 You\u2019re now married!<\/p>\n

As strange as it seems, yes, being together forever under the same roof as Mrs & Mrs is actually quite different to just shacking up in sin. The only real difference (besides \u00a320k or so and a pretty dress) is a piece of paper and maybe a name change. But, something is different and doesn\u2019t feel the same\u2026<\/p>\n

Here are a few different emotions you may go through as you get to your paper anniversary\u2026<\/p>\n

You May Feel Like You\u2019re Playing House<\/h2>\n

You\u2019ll love how the word \u2018newlywed\u2019 sounds, nearly as much as you loved cooking imaginary air food in your plastic childhood kitchen. You\u2019re not just saying \u2018boyfriend\u2019 or \u2018girlfriend\u2019 anymore and you\u2019re not just winging it in a dingy apartment. You may also feel like someone is going to catch you out for pretending to be married!<\/p>\n

You\u2019ll Have Bride Brain<\/h2>\n

Not so long ago, your mind was constantly thinking about d\u00e9cor, guests, invites, dresses, food (the stuff of Martha Stewart and Pinterest dreams) and it can feel like you\u2019re missing something. Don\u2019t be surprised if you start ringing your Wedding Coordinator instead of your best friend\u2026<\/p>\n

First comes love, then comes Marriage\u2026<\/h2>\n

Yeah. This is definitely going to happen. You will be harassed about bouncy babies and carriages. You may even get asked about your cycle! Just get used to it, cause it\u2019s going to happen!<\/p>\n

Fights<\/h2>\n

Not the arguing type eh? Again, everything is the same, but you\u2019ve changed as a couple. You\u2019re not just being casual, it permanent! But, as that sinks in, you\u2019ll find more and more will simply grate on your nerves. After the first year, the dynamics change, but many a spouse has scoffed at the term wedded bliss during their first year.<\/p>\n
