I always used to say, \u2018Hello me\u2019. She said, \u2018I\u2019m just wondering, would you do the honour of designing my wedding gown?\u2019. And I said, \u2018Course I\u2019d love to\u2019.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>At the time, Valentino was said to be the designer who would be putting together the esteemed wedding gown. With the press desperate to confirm a designer, Emanuel\u2019s nerves began to kick in, confessing that he even thought it was a hoax:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo I thought Christ perhaps it\u2019s a hoax call. I\u2019m getting paranoid and I\u2019m thinking perhaps it wasn\u2019t her. Perhaps it\u2019s somebody playing a joke.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt was an extraordinary time. Larger than life. And since then, you name it. Madonna, Sigourney Weaver, Jane Seymour, Elizabeth Taylor.
