Possibly coming from an unmarried acquaintance, this sort of question is more than likely a projection of their own fear and can\u2019t imagine this lifelong commitment for them. The comeback? Exude confidence, leaving no room for debate when you say \u201cCompletely! But we are completely in love and ready to be together forever.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIs that the ring you wanted?\u201d<\/p>\n

Almost any choice of ring can elicit some kind of snide remark. It\u2019s too big, too small, the cut is tacky\u2026 this sort nasty behaviour is probably a sign of jealousy or just plain snootiness. Your reply? It is every newly engaged lady\u2019s right to show off that rock!
