Flowers can truly complement other elements of your décor really well. There are endless options that can be suited to you and your partner’s personal style.

Some couples may prefer to change it up and have totally different kinds of centrepieces. D.I.Y ideas can be a great way to minimise the costs involved with a wedding and also give a more personal touch from the newlywed couple.

When planning your own wedding, there are no rules you can’t break. Just because candle and flower arrangements are the most common, doesn’t mean you have to follow this tradition.

Photograph Centrepieces

We love having an arrangement of photos on each table. These could be pictures of the bride and groom throughout their relationship. Another great idea is to have photos of the couple with the guests actually sitting at each table. This idea is a really nice touch for the guests, letting them reminisce about their relationship with the newlyweds.

Hobby or Profession Based Centrepieces

Another interesting idea, depending on the couple, could be to base their centrepieces around their individual or shared hobbies. For example, if a couple both enjoy dancing, each table could be themed to a different style of dance. One table could have a cowboy boot and Stetson to represent line dancing; another could have a top hat and tap shoes and so on. If using shoes, we strongly recommend that the shoes are unworn or thoroughly clean; nobody wants smelly shoes at their dinner table!

The Old Reliable

That being said, there are definitely ways to change it up and still include flowers. You could use anything from mason jars to bird cages to hold your precious floras.

What centrepieces do you hope to have at your wedding?
