Best Western Plus Pinewood on Wilmslow | Reviews

Fabulous wedding venue. The grounds were gorgeous for photos, and the bedroom was spacious for me and my bridesmaids to get ready.
The hotel went above and beyond.

Wow, where do I start?

We loved the size of the room from the moment we saw Pinewood and wanted the flexibility of having several hotel rooms with family coming from all over. Our bridal suite was massive and fantastic for getting ready. So spacious and clean!

From arriving the night before …

the staff couldn’t do enough for us. Craig was on hand for everything and was a lifesaver in critical moments like losing a button off my wedding dress moments before!! The hotel even provided a sewing kit to fix it. They brought breakfast to our room the morning of, and throughout the whole day had us as a priority making sure we were ok.

The room for the wedding breakfast was beautifully set up, with my full vision coming to life with massive help from all the staff listening and taking so much care and time to put everything exactly how we wanted it.
Same again with the evening turnaround. It felt so effortless and seamless and all the staff were truly amazing.

The food was incredible and even weeks after people are still saying how good the food was! They even accompanied our fussy teenagers!
We had a slight hiccup with something supplied by an external company which had the wrong wedding date on it… Lily stepped in and changed this for us as I was upset. For that, I couldn’t thank her enough.
Honestly, all I can say is thank you, everything was perfect and we wouldn’t have changed a thing.

If you’re thinking of booking the Pinewood, believe me when I say you won’t regret it.

From our first contact with them we were shown and explained the full packages along with Covid 19 guidelines. As you can imagine it was a difficult time. We had a meeting with Kathryn, then we went into lockdown. But, throughout …

lockdown she kept in touch even while working from home.

Our final preparations were all dealt with and they had been dealing with all our suppliers which eased our workload. On the day, they were outstanding and because the weather was fantastic they offered to let us have our ceremony outside which was WOW so fantastic. Again nothing was too much trouble for the team.

On the day including Kenny and Monica and the rest of the team they went above and beyond to make our wedding day so special. They looked after my 83yr old mum like a queen. Thank you.

Our whole experience, from staff to catering and accommodation, was all first class and all we can say is that they go above and beyond and offer a first class service throughout the hotel.

helpful and guided us through everything. Christine was our point of contact. She was fantastic from start to finish. All the staff from reception, bar staff the GM were all so fantastic and nothing was to much trouble. The day went without a hitch, they organised everybody. The DJ they provided was amazing. The dance floor was never empty!! We had afternoon tea served which was lovely with plenty of choice of sandwiches and cakes. The hot evening buffet was lovely, we had the curry and steak and ale pie which everybody said the pie was amazing. I’ve been to a wedding 6 weeks ago at another hotel near by and there really was no comparison. The one and only thing I was disappointed with was that the bridal suite wasn’t available on the day until 2pm and with a wedding at 4 left very little time to get ready, so we had to stay the night before but a special rate was given to us because of this. Spending the night before was a brilliant idea and once again the bar snacks and staff were amazing. Oh and I just mention the breakfast. Buffet style, usually dried out and nasty.... this was so fresh and hot, and plenty of choice. All my wedding guests that stayed over said everything was just beautiful.

fantastic when I asked her and the staff at pinewood to keep a huge secret...... a surprise for my husband to be... an owl flying the rings down the aisle. Everyone met it to themselves and shared my excitement, Michael didn’t know a thing until the moment the owl flew in. feel possibly wouldnt have come about if Hannah had been there as we had talked in depth beforehand.
Day before I met John Scott and the team. I was on my own in the hotel the night before the wedding and was so very pleased to have met with the set up team, I was able to pass over my things to them and give my "bible". All made me feel very relaxed. Lovely suggestions that helped as well just with detail.
FOOD Wonderful everybody said how nice the food was. And dealt with my Vegetarians & Coeliac
The only thing was I had specifically done a plan to show where people sitting but they were all offered the chicken dish rather than the others being served there dishes
Requested cheese & Biscuits to be served to a family member instead of pudding but this wasnt done. John very kindly did make sure the family member was ok with the pudding who said it was fine.
STAFF Absolutely wonderful!
CLEANLINESS Wonderful! The rooms were spotless!
DRINKS The mulled fruit cider served after the ceremony was lovely, just felt there should have been more available to guests the tray quickly went + were waiting then on more. The wine with meal was lovely! I requested that there be offer Red/White wine or a bar drink offered to all guests. I am upset this did not happen. Some people who dont drink alcohol were not offered a soft drink. DJ there were a issues. Told my ring bearer that did not take requests off children I was not told this. Took requests then did not play them.
I would recommend this excellent venue! These niggles didnt spoil our wonderful day, all guests said how fabulous everything was! Beautiful gardens! Booked for Xmas buffet + bop, cant wait!! Thank you!!

Naz the host for the day is fab really does go that extra mile for you. I'm so glad that we chose this as our wedding venue and I would change nothing at all about my day.

restaurant, and of course the landscaped gardens, all added to the occasion making it a memorable one for all. The feedback we had from nearly all of our family and friends was that it was the best wedding they have ever attended! The Wedding Breakfast and the Evening Buffet were both top quality, so the Chef and his team deserve much credit too. The rooms were perfect, especially the Tatton Suite which we used for the Evening Reception. Even the overall price was reasonable we felt, as pretty much everything was included in the package with no 'hidden' extras. All-in-all, we would certainly recommend The Pinewood as the perfect venue for your wedding day!

We would like to express our sincere thanks for the hosting and running of our Christmas wedding.
The day started fantastically and the hotel manager John was there at hand every step of the way ensuring the smooth and efficient running of our day.

service and hospitality of all staff involved.
The wedding fare here presented us with room dressing and venue decoration ideas and without this event earlier in the year, it would have been a struggle to source these items by professionals who knew the venue and staff here so well. Therefore we would highly recommend the table dressing service and florist who work with the hotel throughout the year as they were both excellent.
We had many friends and family stay on the night of the wedding, including us who obviously had the bridal suit. All friends and family who stayed commented on the comfort, cleanliness and ease of the bedrooms. Also, the breakfast in the morning was excellent and set up for a busy day ahead!

We used the Best Western Pinewood Hotel in June 2013 for our wedding and it really was a great venue. All the staff were excellent from the Manager of the hotel who always remembered your face when we went in to discuss the wedding preparation through to the event coordinator and general hotel …

The event coordinator was really helpful and offered advice for areas we were unsure of such as numbers to cater for at the evening reception through to ideas for layout of the rooms we were using. The rooms available were varied and allowed for different sized parties and were all nicely decorated. The hotel was able to offer advice of local people for flowers etc as well as holding wedding shows with rooms set up so you could see what it might be like on the day. Nothing was too much trouble if you had a query and emails were promptly reasoned to and regular meeting took place the closer it got to the wedding to finalise the small details. On the day it self, everything we asked for was in place and all staff again were extremely helpful and accommodating. Guest were made to feel welcome and the service was excellent during the wedding breakfast and the evening reception. The food was good and well-presented and evening buffet was lovely and good portion sizes for what we had ordered. The hotel rooms were lovely very clean and all guests were happy with the accommodation they had. Would highly recommend to anybody thinking of using either as wedding venue or as somewhere to stay and the staff really are the stars of the show.

that work at the event. What's also great is that there are plenty of rooms so our guest were all able to stay. It was great to catch up over breakfast in the morning. The food was fantastic. All our guests commented on how lovely it was.
Every time we went to the Pinewood before the big day the staff were always friendly and accommodating. It was lovely to see nice floral arrangement as you walked through the door.

We had a pre wedding meal there for 25 on the Friday night and that was great. Lucy the duty manager was really friendly and helpful, and her team was great.
On the day, there were no problems. The room was set up by the team and it looked great, just how I had hopped. The staff made sure I was at ease and were there if I needed anything.
I would recommend the Pinewood to all future brides and any other occasion.

Special thanks to John Scott, the general manager, all the waiting on staff including Lucy, Kirsty and the blonde lady who was setting up our tables on the Friday evening, sorry we didn't catch your name but you had wonderful patience as a pair of flustered newlyweds to be were were flapping around you as you were busy working! Also Gio who was the first person we met over a year ago when we viewed the hotel and was on hand to deal effortlessly with any eventuality which arose on the day and did a fantastic job!
Last but not least the chef and kitchen staff who created a gorgeous menu which everyone enjoyed, although I was very jealous of the enormous banana splits the children were given!
We would recommend the Pinewood on Wilmslow for any event especially weddings, they know what they are doing and they do it well!

We did have a couple of minor complaints, we had requested 2 x bottles of medium white wine on the tables for our guests but found 1 bottle of red and 1 bottle of white on each table which I felt was very much a waste as we knew our guests did not drink red wine and much of it was left over. The …

bottles had been opened so we did not mention this at the time but did mention it to the receptionist the following morning. We also received numerous complaints regarding the dessert as it was too hard and could not be eaten

Despite this, on the whole hotel was very supportive, staff were friendly. The day went tremendously well and all of our guests enjoyed a lovely and memorable day. I could not ask have asked for more and would definately recomend the Pinewood as a wedding venue for anyone getting married
