Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery is a Grade 1* listed building that provides a unique and sophisticated venue for your wedding. It's central location in the heart of Birmingham makes it an ideal venue for your guests. We can accommodate your civil ceremony, your reception or your whole celebration.
Waterhall is licensed for civil ceremonies so you can say your vows in a bright and airy venue with high ceilings, stunning architecture and fine art adorning the walls.
Our capacity for civil ceremonies is up to 200 people so no one will miss out on seeing you say “I do”.
If you choose to host your wedding reception with us, your party will congregate in the Round Room, standing as it did in 1885 with its ornate glass domed ceiling and a beautiful collection of fine art on display.
The Industrial Gallery will then play host to your wedding breakfast where your guests will be seated with magnificent views of the stunning space whilst toasting to your long and happy marriage.
Our expert, in-house, catering team will ensure you and your guests are treated to a delicious meal, and as part of our wedding packages you’ll of course be invited for a menu tasting!
Once your dinner is over, prepare to dance the night away in the Edwardian Tearooms before setting off into the night as a newly married couple.
We are able to accommodate 50 - 140 for seated dining at Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery, or 50 - 250 for a drinks reception or standing buffet.
