Over the 18 months of planning, we spoke to/met with all of the wedding coordinators and various Hotel staff, and always received prompt, …

detailed, friendly responses. Nothing was too much trouble!
We visited many times for lunch/dinner leading up to the wedding and always had lovely service from the Restaurant/Bar team, as well as fantastic food and scenery!

In terms of the big day, I can’t thank the people who ran the day enough! Everything was on time, questions were answered thoroughly, and last-minute changes were accommodated well.
A friendly atmosphere the night before and morning of was created, a yummy breakfast was delivered to the Bridal Party when getting ready and bedrooms were so clean and spacious!
The Coed team also worked so well with our Photographer to make sure we made the best out of our poor weather situation - very grateful for the Folly which kept everyone covered and we still got the outdoor feel to our photos!

The team created a bespoke menu for our guests, as well as offering traditional options and both went down a treat! Presentation was fantastic, generous portions and the team handing out the food were amazing, so friendly and approachable - definitely added to the upbeat atmosphere I was hoping for the wedding breakfast.

From communication and planning to delivery and execution, I can’t recommend having a wedding at the Coed Y Mwstwr enough! We can’t wait to visit again. Thank you so much!

We had the most perfect day celebrating our wedding at the Coed-Y-Mwstwr.

The venue is beautiful - our guests loved it and it looks stunning in all of the photos. The staff were also great and made sure the day ran smoothly. The food was lovely too. Would recommend!

On the day itself, Tegan, Paul and the team went above and beyond to ensure everything went without a hitch. They were extremely attentive and ensured that we as the bride and groom were aware of decisions that were being made, but without placing any stress on us.

There were so many people working and they were all so kind and helpful. The guests commented on how smooth everything was.
The food was amazing and we had so many compliments from our guests. They allowed us to create our own bespoke food and drink packages so that we could have what worked for us.

The venue itself couldn’t have been better- we made use of the Folly and the Hendre suite which led out to a patio area. This was perfect for the evening.

Throughout the whole planning process, the team was always quick to reply and keen to help with their responses to all our queries. Every supplier we spoke to who had worked there before said how brilliant the Coed y Mwstwr team is, and every conversation we had with them assured us that we were in safe hands.

Our wedding day couldn’t have been more perfect. The ceremony took place in the Elliot Suite, which is such a beautiful room. Paul worked so hard on the day and was absolutely brilliant, ensuring we were happy with everything. Megan also did a fantastic job of guiding us and letting us know what to do every step of the way in the lead-up to the ceremony. The whole team went above and beyond to make the day completely seamless.

The food was the best at any wedding we’ve been to, and we received many compliments from the guests. So many of our guests have said how relaxed and beautiful the day was, and for us, it truly was the best day of our lives. We would recommend the Coed y Mwstwr to anyone.

the wedding planning, all of our questions were answered very quickly and fully. A question would pop into my head at 10 p.m., and when I woke the next morning, it would be answered!! All the meetings went really well, and Rachael made us feel completely at ease with everything.

On the day, every single staff member was amazing! We felt so looked after from start to finish. We were made to feel so special and a priority to all the staff. This helped our day run completely smoothly and without a hitch. We were also very calm and at ease because of this!

On the morning of the wedding, I had breakfast brought up to the room for myself and the maid of honour whilst the rest of the bridal party went down to the restaurant. Even little things like moving all of my things from the room I got ready in over to the Bridal Suite for the night were a huge help. A special thanks to Oliver, whose exceptional care and attention to detail ensured that everything ran smoothly. Oliver went above and beyond on our wedding day and the night before during our family meal. His warmth and professionalism put us at ease and allowed us to enjoy every moment fully. We also want to highlight Skye, who was incredibly friendly and caring to all our guests. Skye’s positive energy and genuine kindness made everyone feel welcome and well taken care of, adding a wonderful touch to our celebration. She even took time to approach myself (the bride) as she noticed I hadn’t been up to the evening buffet and put a plate up for me in the kitchen to grab when I wanted it. The venue itself is breathtaking, with so many beautiful photo opportunities. The moment our guests arrived, they were captivated by the charm and elegance of Coed-Y-Mwstwr. Where to start! From the moment we came across Coed-Y-Mwstwr Hotel we were captivated and immediately booked a show around. The drive to the grounds is simply stunning, and it was a shock to us that the first venue we found would be where we tied the knot! In comparison to other venues, we found …

ourselves constantly comparing and stating that CYM had this and that, and the layout/flow of the venue was perfect.
Then we met Rachel who showed us around and helped visualise our day and how it would look at CYM (not many co-ordinators did this at other places...!) - following this, we just knew, it had to be CYM. The communication and planning from the whole team is flawless, there was nothing they couldn't help with or answer, they are truly incredible and I feel lucky to have had them working behind the scenes for our day.
THE DAY! It was simply perfect, with the help of the team getting everything in the right place and how polite they were throughout the day, again, nothing was a problem and everyone was so helpful! Even with running to get me a tissue as I shed a nervous tissue before I walked down the aisle. I honestly cannot recommend this venue and the team highly enough - at every meeting and visit, we were always offered refreshments, and the whole team always had a smile on their face - they are miracle workers, and I am proud to have had our special day at CYM - I couldn't have imagined going anywhere else (coming from a Wedding Photographer who has seen a lot of venues across South Wales!)

We had our ceremony in the Elliott Suite which is so elegant, we love the bright atmosphere of this 19th-century Victorian room. Our wedding breakfast and reception were in the Hendre Suite, again we love that it's bright and airy, with the exposed wooden beams. The bedrooms are beautifully decorated, each with their style and the honeymoon suite was fabulous.

The team went above and beyond to allow us to have our dream wedding, no task was too big or too much. Our wedding food was delicious and all of our guests commented on how tasty everything was (especially the fudge).

They kept checking in with me and the husband throughout the day to see if there was anything we wanted or to change anything before the guests came in, and they helped to guide us and the guests throughout the day, even in the evening, staff were there if we had any questions or requests. The bars always had a staff member on so quick service. All in all, amazing day, we and the rest of the wedding guests couldn't stop singing the praises of Coed. We had an external supplier for some of the larger items, but when it came to the finer details, the team went above and beyond what I could have imagined to make the day feel magical.

On the day I was informed of the daily plans, checked on regularly to see if we needed anything and the day flowed so well, apart from the odd meal we didn't need to ask the staff to help rectify anything.

It was so nice to hear from all our guests that said it was the most spectacular venue and best wedding they had attended. The Hendre where we had our wedding breakfast and evening reception was absolutely stunning and with such good weather on the day we could open the doors up onto the patio area giving it a very spacious feeling and cosy in the evening with the fire pit alight in the middle with our guests sat around it. Planning a lockdown during covid was unsurprisingly a challenge, especially when we lived 2
hours away but Megan and Tommy were absolutely amazing!

They helped us with recommendations, ideas, when we forgot a pen for the guest book and tea lights they even went out and got them for us. …

Whenever a change happened with covid restrictions we would always get a message no matter how small. One day they phoned to say ‘Guests can now walk to the bar’ and it made my
day. One thing I didn’t actually notice until we had the photos back is that a large connect four was put outside for children to play with.

They really did go above and beyond and I was honestly amazed when they said they had 3 weddings in a row after ours as everyone at the Coed-y-Mwstwr made us feel special. The venue itself is absolutely gorgeous
and the food is sublime but it’s the people that really make it.

It really felt like nothing was too much trouble and it took a massive stress off us on the day, we could not be more grateful for everything. Even down to all the interactions and the slight amendments on the day, it just felt like everything was under control and ran absolutely beautifully. The staff even took time to help one of my guests locate her jacket and made sure everyone was looked after.

I just want to give special mention to Tommy who was our wedding coordinator of dreams who made sure everything was exactly how we wanted and imagined and Paul who was our leader on the day, helping it run so smoothly.

All staff were courteous, helpful and always smiling - on the day we were asked continuously if everything was ok, and were guided through the next steps effortlessly and bang on time.
Megan, Tommy and the waiting staff made sure we felt special at all times and the venue itself looked exquisite. The ceremony took place in the beautiful Elliott Suite and the wedding breakfast was in the Hendre suite - I couldn't have been more pleased with every single aspect.
To top it off, they made the sun shine as well which meant we could have our reception drinks outside overlooking the stunning surrounding countryside.

From the very first email we were made to feel special and nothing was too much of an ask. Every email was answered promptly and easy to understand, which filled us with confidence, as it can feel a bit daunting with so much to think about.

and visit in person which just made us even more excited. The venue was absolutely beautiful, everything was as we wanted. It had a very homely feel which we loved, we felt very comfortable there.
The staff were so friendly and made sure everything was thoroughly spoken about and all questions were answered easily, it was such an easy process!
Our food taster evening was very exciting and easy to organise. We even went up to the venue to do a practice table set up to show how we'd like things set out - Any reason to visit before the wedding!
