the Berkshire Suite for our stay at the hotel and it was absolutely amazing! It was quiet and peaceful. The shower and bath are lovely and the bed is massive. I didn’t get ready for the wedding in this room – but I would highly recommend it for future brides as it is very spacious.
Food: Charlie the Chef is absolutely wonderful, he was so flexible and professional. The food was delicious, the kitchen team must have worked so hard to deliver 82 meals all at the same time and all piping hot! Our guests commented on the food and said that it was delicious. The sauce for the chicken was amazing!
Staff: The waiting staff and bar staff were flawless, happy and smiling and very discreet we hardly knew they were there. Could have done with a few more bar staff, but as the Bride – I didn’t have to wait long for a drink anyway! Ben was lovely and very helpful throughout the day before when we came to set up and on the wedding day itself – lovely guy.
Wedding Service: This hotel has the most amazing Wedding Coordinator ever! Alix Matania - She is such a wonderful lady and I am so sad that I don’t have any more annoying bridezilla emails to send her! Alix is so patient and understanding and completely understood my theme for my wedding. Alix was kind to both of our parents and whenever we visited to discuss plans she was always welcoming and engaged with us fully. What sets Alix apart from the rest is that she really cares, from responding to emails quickly, to giving us great wedding advice – she knows this industry inside out and I am so pleased that we had her to guide us through our wedding planning. Alix for being so helpful, kind and reassuring in the run-up to our wedding. We live in France and so we weren't able to make many trips over (in fact we only went twice …

before the wedding) but she helped us by taking photos and explaining the layout and all in all she is absolutely fantastic and will help you make your day very special. We'd been badly let down by Monkey Island, which is round the corner by them cancelling our wedding as the new owners wanted to do refurbishments 6 months before our wedding where everything had been organised. Alix helped us not only make the most of the organisation already done but helped make it better.
The second person who deserves a stirling review is Charlie, the chef. Honestly I am surprised he is not the top chef in a top London restaurant. He is absolutely amazing and was so amazing in letting my French husband decided with him the menu and all the French guests LOVED all the food. I knew it would be the case after having the tasting a few months before but I didn't expect all the French guests (even my French mother-in-law who usually finds something to complain about) to rave about the food and how it went against all their theories on English food. Thank-you Charlie as the food was such an important part for Rudy and you took all the worry and stress away with your delicious food.
The third person I think needs a special mention is Andrew, the toastmaster. He was a legend!!! He was so friendly and charming and just added a certain something to that day that would have been sorely lacking without him. He went above and beyond duty as Alix was not there the day of our wedding (as she was on her honeymoon) and he helped us when a couple of things needed to be re-organised. He is the loveliest man and made such a difference to the day.

We chose Fredricks for our wedding as we wanted an exclusive use venue, where all of our family and friends could stay over.
Alix, the Events Manager, was great, made sure all of the planning went smoothly and answered all of our questions very promptly.
On the day itself we had a couple of …

issues but these were dealt with very well by the hotel manager.
The food was particularly outstanding and we had lots of positive comments from guests.
Most of the staff were very friendly and helpful but we did have a few problems with being billed incorrectly on check in and check out, where notes were on the account but hadn't been reviewed properly.
Also, half our guests (including us) didn't have any hot water the following day, but this was compensated by Fredricks.
We would recommend Fredricks to other couples looking for an exclusive use venue. We would also recommend our photographer (Maria Ashby-Giles) and Susie at stylish seating who were both fabulous, and the DJ (Keith) who did a great job.

The Chef done an amazing wedding breakfast and everyone commented on how nice the food was. And, the bar staff, waiters and waitresses were also fantastic and very professional all day.

I would highly recommend this venue to any other couples planning to get married. I don't think we could have picked a better place.

the room was set up just right and that everyone was in the right place at the right time so I didn’t have to worry about anything and could spend the morning relaxing! Alix does a fantastic job and made everything so easy for us.
I stayed the night before the wedding and ate dinner at the hotel, the food was delicious. The double room was traditionally furnished, it was lovely and very clean with a view of the garden.
On the day of the wedding Alix organised everything and the room was decorated so nicely, the hotel staff were really diligent and helpful and the food was great! Lots of guests commented on just how good the food was. Throughout the whole day we felt that the staff did everything to make our day go seamlessly. On the night of the wedding we stayed in the Berkshire Suite which was huge, really nicely furnished and was very clean. I wish we could have stayed longer. We had breakfast the next day which was delicious.
I would recommend Fredrick’s to anyone wanting to find an intimate, friendly venue to get married. I would also recommend it as a place to stay if visiting Maidenhead. Thank you to everyone at Fredrick’s for making our day perfect and a day we’ll remember.

booking the Fredricks- registrar permitting- an easy one. We worked together to plan a fantastic wedding. Alix and her colleagues were always on hand during the planning for the wedding to answer our many questions without making us feel like nuisances. We planned for an October wedding with back up options depending on weather and numbers of guests. We met with a chef and events staff to make sure that they were fully aware of our requirements and we were happy with their plans. All aspects of our day were delivered well as a result. With the weather being fantastic on the day we were able to get married outside.....the best feeling.....walking out to a beautifully arranged area where we were able to say I do in front of our friends and family. Alix and the Fredricks team did an amazing job and I don't think there was much more she could have done for us.
The Fredricks hotel is a perfect venue for a wedding. It can accommodate all sizes of wedding. The outdoor space adds to the experience too. The staff look after the venue very well and it is clean and tidy inside and out.
Alix is a very professional yet friendly person. She works extremely hard to deliver a great event. Alix is very knowledgeable and works well with the team at the Fredricks. The events team and the food and beverage team made a lot of effort to deliver a fantastic day. They listen to your requests, give advice where necessary and our wedding was excellent as a result.

I had tried several venues before talking to Alix and had been put off as others seemed uninterested in me because I only wanted a small wedding with 30 guests. Alix, however, seemed delighted to speak to me and inspired confidence that she could give me the wedding I wanted. The resulting wedding was beyond my expectations.

Facilities: Amazing. Fredericks is small (but still with lots of room for flexibility in setting up your wedding). It is intimate and offer great dining facilities. My husband and I had a separate kids party which Frederick's gladly accommodated and supported. Our guest were free to roam and sit in other breakout out areas to get away from the hustle and bustle of the wedding if they wanted to.
Food: Frederick's had a new events chef who was more than happy to listen to our questions and accommodate our specific diet requirements. I had 2 children on the guest list with potentially fateful multiple food allergies. The chef was great in accommodating them. I was so overwhelmed they went out of their way to ensure they were catered for and made their food look amazing too. Thank you.
I was conscious too that my guests were being difficult regards menu choices on the day. Somehow the chef and the team managed to make everyone happy anyway. Thank you. Much appreciated.
Accessibility to event coordinator: As I was so busy with little time to plan this wedding, I was very grateful that Alix was on the ball, at the right time. She provided reminders of when we needed to do the tasting event, seat plans etc. She was always available sometimes late in the evening to meet up and discuss. Even when I threw in extra guests and new seating arrangements, she was more than happy to accommodate. She is a great sport and know her stuff.
Fredericks Support Staff: Never met a friendlier more accommodating team. Front desk was great and waiting staff so patient.
Conclusion: My guests had a great time. I have lost count of the number of times I have been told it was the best wedding ever!

£1500 than if we had our sort of package anywhere else. I can't speak highly enough of our experience at Fredricks. Alix, the wedding coordinator made us both feel so welcome and at ease straight away (we'd met with a few others and she was by far the nicest!). She showed us around giving us ideas and we just fell in love with the place immediately! Such beautiful grounds to have a wedding!

The whole build up to the wedding, Alix was always available to get in contact with and answer any queries we had leading up to our day there. We really enjoyed going for our menu tasting, it was a real date night filled with food and wine and even got to have a chat with the sous chef about our menu and was happy to accomadate all our needs.

When it came to the wedding day, the whole team at Fredricks were nothing but beyond helpful!! If there was anything we needed or wanted there was always someone on hand to help us immediately. Everyone we dealt with, from Alix, to Suzi with the chair covers, to Angus who served us... Plus everyone else who was just so very helpful, warm and welcoming. I honestly can't speak highly enough of this place and if I had to to it all again (here's hoping I wont!!) it would be Fredricks every time. You just know you'll be in good hands there.

gardens. All the staff were welcoming and friendly, but also extremely efficient. Nothing was too much trouble, and all queries were dealt with promptly and with a smile.
We would particularly like to mention Alexandra Matania, the hotel's conference and wedding organiser. From our initial enquiry the previous year, through every subsequent meeting up to the big day itself, she was a model of efficiency and friendliness. Nothing was too much trouble: she was happy to accommodate all our quirky ideas for our parrot-themed event, even allowing us to bring one of our cockatoos to attend the ceremony! All her recommendations for ancillary helpers, from flowers and make-up, to table-dressing, hog roast and DJ, and photography - delivered first class service.
Everything put together made the day a wonderful and memorable experience for us all - even the weather was kind, between two days of rain! We would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to any friends and family looking for a similar event, but particularly because of the brilliant service and expertise supplied by Alexandra Matania.

Unlike many other venues we considered we felt from the very start that the staff genuinely wanted to assist us in having a special wedding day- not wanting to fleece us for every penny. use option we chose allowed us to really make the place feel like our own and the staff treated us like we were almost permanent residents. We were only free at weekends for meetings with the wedding planner so attended several open days where we were always made to feel welcome and Alix would always find time even though these must have been her busiest days by miles. Alix was a wonderful help in achieving what we wanted from our wedding. We were never made to feel like anything was impossible or unreasonable from her perspective. She would always go the extra mile to try and make it work etc etc.

The food was absolutely spectacular. Our guests were commenting on it for weeks afterwards. Callum the chef was also really nice and attentive to us- again like Alix going the extra mile to make us feel special.

We stayed in the Sandringham suite after an open day. Extremely comfortable and very nice to have the veranda area to relax in. We stayed in the Berkshire suite for the wedding itself which was sublime. We stayed an extra night afterwards which was extremely relaxing. We had spa treatments and dinner to wind down after the hectic build up to the big day. To crown everything off it is only 20-30 minutes drive from Heathrow so you're on your honeymoon before you know it.

I could recommend it any more highly.

We booked Fredrick's as an exclusive use taking all hotel rooms from Friday through to Sunday morning. We wanted a homely, private wedding where guests could feel comfortable knowing that everyone in attendance was there for our wedding celebrations only.

this idea work from rejigging menu's, restaurant times and general change of normal hotel business. We worked with management on a special room rate, menus, drinks, corkage and special needs for our guests due to this.

I think the layout of the hotel is a huge bonus for weddings. Because this is a small hotel all areas are interlinked. We had all doors open so whether you were dancing in the function room, drinking in the bar, sitting outside in the garden/patio or in the restaurant, everyone was together unlike large commercial hotels with endless corridors and staircases. Again, hugely important for a wedding. All rooms are also in short distance of the main area which is superb for nipping off and freshening up during the day.

The food was perfect (breakfast a highlight) in fact we have had many many guests telling us they plan on visiting the hotel again (especially for the breakfast!)

We spent a year planning our Wedding with Alix Matania (wedding events manager at Fredrick's) she was extremely helpful, efficient and replied to our emails and inquires instantly during that time with a personal touch. As always with a wedding and this kind of time scale things changed on a weekly basis and Alix was more than accommodating with regard to this.

Most of our planning came with recommendations from Alix (DJ, Hog roast, chair overs) and we were happy with everything. We had our own bookings such as a harpist, piper, musicians and singers during the day and Alix dealt with all the arrival times and organising. We didn't panic or stress for one-second.

I can not recommend this hotel enough as an 'exclusive use' venue. I'm even considering it for my fortieth Birthday!

The function room looked fabulous, I gave Alix my decorations and theme and let her deal with the artistic side of things and I was not disappointed. The food was incredible and even dietary requirements were met for my guests that had specific needs.

Overall, we had a fantastic day that we will always remember. The gardens at Fredrick's are beautiful, the staff are great and the spa was wonderful. We thoroughly recommend Fredrick's to anyone planning a wedding, however large or small.

Our wedding at Fredricks was just perfect from start to finish.....we stayed the night before and therefore were able take full advantage of the spa which helped to relax me !!. The big day arrived and had an absolutely gorgeous brekkie....Chilled a bit then got into my wedding gear...guests arrived …

and I was able to have a drink to settle my nerves ....The room were the ceremony took place was just beautiful...we had 50 odd guests to the day and it was a perfect size.....even the registrars were having a good time...After we said I do we went into the gardens for pics.The sun was shining and the gardens were alive with colour...everyone sipping down champers and just being happy...While all this was happening the staff were turning the ceremony room around for the wedding breakfast....All the timings were going to plan thanks to all the staff...and i must say ..as we walked in to the room to a mighty cheer..the place had been transformed into this absolutely stunning venue...It was incredible...words really cannot describe it. Ok..the food...10 out of 10..and all the guests thought so too..Prior to our wedding we were able to sample there wedding menu which was great...the wine...we even sampled that prior...again 10 out of 10...and if you wanted a beer...it was brought to your table....Right...after all that we again left the room and mingled.. evening guessed arrived....and magically the room turned around again and late into the night we had the best party ever...a bit of a knees up....Bespoke food in the evening..bacon and sausage rolls and a cheese board...loads of it....Our wedding was on the 30th Aug 2014 and we are still buzzing..It was just so perfect thanks to Alix and her team at the hotel..They made our life just so easy.I just cant fault anything...so got engaged there..got married there and we will be back....This place is a gem.....Thank you Fredricks....just one word now.......OUTSTANDING !!!!!!

Everything was perfect. The food, the staff, the venue. All our guests commented on how beautiful and relaxing the venue was and some even took advantage of the spa. The hot and cold stone massage is heavenly!

a privilege to be able to have the first outside ceremony under the arbour at Fredrick's. It was touch and go during the morning but by the time I came out of the Spa and swimming pool the sun was out and drying the grass, a little cloud during the ceremony but that kept it cool.
The whole day had a relaxed feeling to it and there wasn't any added stresses.

The team could not have been more helpful and friendly with all the planning, and, on the day, everything was prepared and delivered with quiet efficiency and style. We were all well looked after throughout the reception. The meal was delicious and beautifully presented, and the bacon butties later on were great too!
As we had been lucky enough to pick the hottest weekend of the year the outside areas were very well used and allowed all our guests to enjoy the day in the relaxed atmosphere.
The bride and groom's suite was delightful and very comfortable.
All our guests were impressed and enjoyed themselves for which we thank the whole team at Fredrick's. We would certainly highly recommend it for a memorable wedding.

The food was wonderful, the service amazing and the ambiance fantastic. We were helped by the weather, however I believe they would still have created a wonderful experience even if the day had been brought inside. The only let down was finding that some guests pre ceremony drinks (which weren't included) had been charged to our account, however this seemed a small price to pay in the overall scheme of things.
If you are looking for a stylish & elegant venue, which offers flexibility, great value, a choice of wedding packages (the cost per head was extremely reasonable) excellent service and a day to remember for all the right reasons, then go and take a visit to Fredricks.

There were obviously many, many highlights of the day but, regarding Fredicks, I would list them as:
1. The staff were very flexible and there to help us enjoy our day - how often do you visit places where you feel like you have interrupted the staff's chat?
2. The food and wine served was of a high quality.
3. As a relatively small hotel and even with a small wedding, you feel as though the place is yours for the day.
4. They even arranged perfect sunshine during a month (April) which was cold and wet on every other day!

All our guests thought that the meal was lovely, really well presented and delicious, and plenty of it. The staff serving were friendly and professional, they were brilliant, and made it feel very special, they couldn't do enough for us.
I would definitely recommend Fredricks as a wedding venue, from the initial visit, the organisation, the day, fantastic!

The function room and bar area were just the right size for us, we had around 90 guests and it was comfortable. The honey moon suite is amazing, very big & spacious. Staff were brilliant, and made it feel very special, they couldn't do enough for us. The buffet was lovely and came out when we asked and staff were there ready to serve very professionally. It was raining so we did not make use of the lovely grounds, but that didn't spoil our evening. We had guests come from all over, and the venue is close to the M4 and M40 which is convenient. I would definitely reccommend Fredricks as a wedding venue.
