supportive and helpful in planning our wedding. I couldn't have asked anymore of him. On the day the staff were so attentive and helpful. I really couldn't have asked for anymore. Unlike other wedding venues we looked at the coordinator you plan with is there on the day with you. I found this to be a really nice touch. Craig was amazing on the day and kept the day flowing as it should. Mags ( I think that was her name) really stood out for us too. She was amazing in helping us throughout the day also. Some members of my family also commented on how great she was. Overall we couldn't have been happier with our day. If you are thinking about Keavil House Hotel for your day. Go for it you won't regret it

After much consideration we chose a wedding package at the keavil house hotel for our big day. It was the best choice we could have made as not only was the wedding package an amazing deal but it includes many fine aspects of the wedding which may he easily overlooked.

hard work of the staff our big day was absolutely flawless, with a great 3 course meal and drinks. Our ceremony, meal and reception were all amazing with everyone having a great time.

Not only were we impressed, it has left a lasting impression with all of our guests who constantly commented on how well our day went as well as the high standards which were displayed throughout the day.

The venue is beautiful both inside and outside with our photographer absolutely blown away with our photos, however we did get lucky with the weather!

Overall I would highly recommend this venue to anyone and everyone as they could not have done more to ensure we had the perfect day!

My wedding wouldn’t have been what it was without the staff at Keavil House!!

From the get go I knew I wanted to book a venue that allowed me to have my own touches and have whatever I wanted ( within reason of course ) on my wedding day!

When I met wedding co-ordinate Morag she blew me …

away. Nothing that I was saying I wanted to do was frowned upon or not allowed. She basically said I can have and do what I want, it’s my wedding day. This is exactly what sold it to me, she was so laid back, so understanding and knew exactly How a wedding should be done!

When I saw the Elgin suite it was exactly what I wanted for my wedding day! This on top of the freedom to have what I wanted was enough for me to book my wedding date right there and then!!

Morag and Craig were there from the get go, nothing was too much and everything I asked or was worried about was soon sorted out!

As for my wedding day everything was absolutely PERFECT!!! Everything was exactly how I imagined and what I wanted for my day! This would not have been possible without my suppliers, which were recommended by Keavil House, the staff on my wedding day and also Morag!!! She is an angel who wants nothing more than to see the bride and groom happy!!

It was an absolute pleasure dealing with Morag and Craig, I can honestly not speak more highly of these two!!

Staff in the Elgin suite on my wedding day were amazing, especially Mags. They all attended to my young baby girl taking her walks in her pram and entertained which is more than what they are asked of on the day! I can’t thank them enough!!

From start to finish my dealings with Keavil House have been nothing but fantastic and I can not recommend this venue enough!! It made my wedding day what it is for me and my husband and for the guests as they also could not speak more highly of our wedding day!

From our very first meeting with you we knew we were going to be happy with putting our wedding in your hands. However, the days events surpassed our …

expectations, and we wanted to express our gratitude specifically to you and your team for making it happen.

Your counsel through our meetings of organisation has been exemplary and it is obvious you really know how to make a couple's special day extra special. You took any potential pressure off at every given opportunity, and for this we are particularly thankful for, as you know, we were very much looking for a stress-free event.

Your flexibility throughout the day and the days leading up to the event, particularly in regards the numbers attending, epitomises your approach generally, coupled with the rigour and control you applied to keeping the day running exactly on plan - something else we very much appreciated.

Everything surpassed our expectation; the food, the service, all the staff (who were brilliant), the decor, DJ Bill, and you even ensured it didn't rain so we could get photographs out in your grounds. We have had great feedback from our guests, with them expressing their unanimous pleasure.

A simple letter really cannot express just how grateful we are; we would recommend Keavil House Hotel as a venue to anyone contemplating a wedding, but this would be caveated by directing them to having you as a key component in their planning and delivery - you really have been that significant. I highly recommend the Keavil House as a Wedding Venue - ceremony, reception and plenty of comfortable accommodation for guests. We were taken care of from start to finish, from the very first planning conversation to the end of the night. The package included DJ (fantastic night of dancing …

guaranteed from DJ Bill!), the chair covers, beautiful menu, canapes, drinks, the Table and room decoration (absolutely perfect and completely brought our vision to life through the amazing Hayley).

The staff throughout, from the housekeepers in the corridoors, to the servers for dinner, to the bar staff - friendly, professional and can't comment enough on how fantastic they all were.

Craig took total ownership of every minute of our day, it was organised and flowed seamlessly from start to finish. His attention to detail and guidance throughout all the pre planning was just brilliant. Thank You.

Myself and (new) husband recently got married in the Keavil house hotel, I personally stayed for 2 nights, I stayed Friday - Saturday with family then Saturday to Sunday with my husband. We also had a family meal on the Friday night. The rooms were perfect, extremely comfy beds, they are to die for …

(and I’m a fussy sleeper) every staff member I came across were beyond friendly, from when I checked in Liz the receptionist couldn’t do any more to make me feel comfy filling me with confidence that she is there for my every need, when we went for breakfast on the Saturday it was very busy but this didn’t make us feel any less important. On my wedding day itself I was made to feel exceptionally calm but Alistair (GM) who was looking after our day, on the lead up to my event nothing was too much for Alistair even with the final little changes, the staff members that aided in the running of our wedding kept me calm providing me with little “nuggets” of information- such as lift my dress at waist so I can sit comfy, I was kept informed at each stage and everything ran smoothly and no issues. On the Sunday when we went for breakfast one of the morning breakfast staff - I want to say Connor was exceptional friendly and spent sometime chatting about our wedding and general chit chat. Finally the duty manager - Iren who I first met the Sunday prior to My wedding Who has suggested with the weather being so nice that we considered getting married in the beautiful gardens, this was the best call as it’s got so many compliments from our guests and some cracking photos, Iren also took over looking after our wedding in the evening and she was exceptionally bubbly yet kept everything running smoothly and kept us informed at every stage, I then met Iren again on the morning after, she remained bubbly and full of energy and was happy making sure we had all of our items from the wedding. I honestly can’t fault this hotel, staff members are amazing, food is lovely and the running of our wedding is beyond excellent.

This is such a gorgeous setting especially in autumn and spring when the gardens are truly stunning :)
I had my wedding reception here after getting married earlier in the year. The Elgin suite is elegant and spacious with beautiful doors opening out into the gardens.

Mags Couper is very helpful with a Keen eye for detail and set up. All in all the staff are down to earth, friendly, funny and proffesional which helped my party go off without a hitch.

We stayed in room 3 as I love the old part of the building and as I am a fan of vintage and classic furniture, the room was exactly to my taste with a beautiful 4 poster bed.

Friends and family who travelled up from England we're also impressed with the accommodation.

It really is a stunning hotel in beautiful grounds and the colours of the trees where beautiful in October :)

A child was unwell at our wedding and our guests stayed an additional night due to this , staff could not help enough to accommodate them and made checks to see if they were ok. Our wedding planner Morag was fabulous , so on the ball and organised . Had complete trust in her which is important on your big day. Mags was excellent , she went out her way to take photos of the room for me before it was filled with guests etc to let me remember how it looked . She also helped me with my dress on numerous occasions. So helpful and helped calm my nerves . My husband had a meal the night before the wedding also and she was so on the ball and great with my brother who requires additional help . My husband also mentioned that William from the restaurant was very friendly and accommodating . He also served us an afternoon tea the next day and is just such a lovely man. Overall we couldn't have asked for a better day , wedding was perfect , staff were amazing and the hotel is beautiful and so clean . We can't wait to come back for our 1 year anniversary .

I was married here on 21/7/17 and couldn't be happier with the service I received.
I had originally booked our wedding at solsgirth house, who shut down earlier in the year with little explanation or help to rebook a wedding, which was due to happen in 6 months!!

From the moment I phoned Keavil …

House Hotel they could not be more helpful. My first meeting was with Craig- who is amazing!!! He bent over backwards to make sure our wedding was incredible. Communication was quick and effective, we were always kept in the loop. Even on the evening of the rehearsal Craig noticed an error in our table plan and contacted us straight away. This was something he didn't have to do, but was more than happy to check things to ensure our day was perfect!
When the day arrived all of the staff were fantastic. It was smooth transitions throughout the day with guests commenting it was the best wedding they had attended. Staff continually checked guests were catered for. Mags looked after my great Gran ensuring she was comfortable and had everything she needed.
I cannot recommend the Keavil, Craig and his team enough! We will always be grateful for the extra attention to detail and care they showed us. I couldnt be happier with the way things turned out!

We have absolutely loved every stage of planning our wedding at the Keavil. We were so excited from the day we booked and had everything explained to us very clearly by Craig, our wedding coordinator. He was so patient and helpful every step of the way.

bridesmaids the night before the wedding and I'm so happy we decided to do that. We were so chilled and the rooms are such a good size for getting ready in. Craig made sure we had adjoining rooms which made getting ready an absolute breeze.

Our wedding day yesterday was an absolute dream. All of the staff at the Keavil went above and beyond for us. We were kept right by Craig who is an absolute pro at making sure you know exactly what is happening. He made sure we were happy all day & looked after all of our guests. The staff were all so kind and polite, they made sure my dress was sitting perfectly all day and couldn't have been more accommodating.

We decided to do a lot of the decorations ourselves as well as using vendors for flowers and chair covers. Everything was organised for us and the staff really made the room look perfect.

Every single one of our wedding guests raved about our wedding and had an amazing day. Even the kids loved it.

The food was great & very accommodating for all guests. We had mentioned that one guest avoided dairy but didn't mind it now and again and without us even asking, he was given a risotto made without no dairy.

Our stay and wedding at the Keavil was absolutely perfect and we really can't thank you all enough. We have amazing memories and are so happy that we chose to get married here.

The venue is beautiful and was everything we wanted it to be. A mention to Nicki who dressed our seats and a massive shout out to Hayley who created the most stunning bouquets and centre pieces.
The food was outstanding and many of our guests have commented on the quality.

All the staff were welcoming and friendly and again a mention to Audrey who has a special and personal touch- always remembering names and little details.

Room 50 is a lovely bridal suite which has patio doors out to the gardens- very secluded. We cannot wait to go back and stay on our 1st anniversary.

Keavil House Hotel they could not be more helpful. My first meeting was with Craig- who is amazing!!! He bent over backwards to make sure our wedding was incredible. Communication was quick and effective, we were always kept in the loop. Even on the evening of the rehearsal Craig noticed an error in our table plan and contacted us straight away. This was something he didn't have to do, but was more than happy to check things to ensure our day was perfect!
When the day arrived all of the staff were fantastic. It was smooth transitions throughout the day with guests commenting it was the best wedding they had attended. Staff continually checked guests were catered for. Mags looked after my great Gran ensuring she was comfortable and had everything she needed.
I cannot recommend the Keavil, Craig and his team enough! We will always be grateful for the extra attention to detail and care they showed us. I couldnt be happier with the way things turned out!

less than a year until our wedding day, Nikala our wedding coordinator, could not have been any more helpful and accommodating to us. She really made us feel so relaxed and confident regarding all the finer details and planning and we always have been made to feel most welcome at Keavil. We do believe Nikala's professionalism and approachable manner helped to create a great day for us, as there didn't seem to be any issues brought to anyone's attention.

Our parents had a great day too and commented on how approachable and professional Nikala and all the staff were with any little queries they had. So thank you for not only accommodating and putting us at ease, but everyone else as well.

The service our guests received on the day was first class and the quality of the food and drinks could not be faulted. In fact, many people have commented on how good the food was - so please pass on our thanks to the chef and kitchen staff.

We had a lot of family staying the night before and night of the wedding, and they thoroughly enjoyed their 'pre wedding' meal. All the guests commented on how accommodating the hotel staff were, how nice their rooms and breakfast were. So another big thumbs up for everyone at Keavil House.

We genuinely had the best day ever, I think we were both smiling from ear to ear throughout the whole day! We must therefore thank Nikala and Keavil House for making our day flow so well, there were no hiccups (that we were aware of anyway!) and everything seemed to run like clockwork!

chance to take a look, and were so impressed with what they had to offer we booked it there and then. We chose a date from the ones they had available, 15 April 2016, this being only December the staff arranged a meeting in January. Our wedding coordinator was Nikala, who in the months weeks and days leading up to the wedding was always in contact with us, her diligence was endless, even ensuring her work shifts were such that she was there the evening before to go over last minute arrangements and placement of various personal items, flowers etc. The morning of the wedding she was on hand constantly, and ensured everything ran smoothly, and as close to time as possible including giving the bride a reprieve due to late arriving guests! The ceremony, ran smoothly with Nikala there to ensure everyone and everything was where and as it should be, from the room switch over from ceremony to meal, to looking after the guests and the bride and groom, she was there to help during the speeches and always on hand during the meal. Special attention was given to the needs of the youngest guests to the oldest guests
To sum up, the venue was superb, the staff were attentive, the food was delicious. This is a once in a lifetime day that we will never forget and it was all down to the Keavil House Hotel and its staff.

Our unusual request for a falconry show between the ceremony and reception was accommodated as if this was perfectly normal and without fuss.

All of our guests commented on how delicious the meal was. Everyone was catered for; allergy sufferers and fussy eaters were all dealt with wonderfully.

The finishing touch, that just showed how well the staff at Keavil think everything through, was seeing all of our decorations and remaining layers of cake beautifully presented on dressed tables the next morning for collection.

We unfortunately didn't have just 1 wedding planner, we had a few which isn't always a good thing, but because of this we got the AMAZING Nikala as a wedding planner! Without a doubt our day was so good and ran so smoothly because of her! I cannot speak highly enough of her, she was just absolutely brilliant! She couldn't be more accommodating of us. She made sure I was completely at ease, I had no worries at all when she was in control. If I had any issues at all (which I did, as no wedding runs completely to plan) I only had to say the word and she would do anything and everything to make sure what ever it was was resolved. Trusting someone with your big day is a huge deal and is always nerve racking but she didn't disappoint! After experiencing 3 of the wedding planners at the Keavil I would highly recommend you ask for Nikala to help you plan your big day, she really was an angel and if I could do it all over again I would have her there to help us from the very start!

We had looked at many possible wedding venues before we came across Keavil. We were looking for a wow factor and Keavil supplied this for us. The day we arrived, The Mountbatten suite was setup for a wedding and it looked beautiful. We were immediately taken with the presentation of the room set-up. …

The room was a perfect size for us (125 guests). The gardens were looking lovely and although ours was to be a winter (January) wedding, we thought we would get some lovely outside photographs (which we did end up getting).

We met Nikala our wedding co-ordinator who was very professional. She took us through all the processes involved in the planning of our special day, putting us at ease and answering all our daft questions!!

The day itself was fantastic with everything going exactly as we hoped. Nikala and the team at Keavil were superb controlling everything and putting us at ease all day. We didn't have to worry about anything.

Our meal was superb with a wide range of choices. The bedrooms were perfect for us (the wedding suite) and our guests. Many of whom took the opportunity to spend the wedding night at the hotel on preferential rates. We had several guests who had special requirements and these were all met without any problem.

We did however have an issue with regards to the room allocation system whereby there was a mix-up the evening prior to the wedding. The bride and bridesmaids were initially given rooms which were actually allocated to the groom and his party however this was dealt with quickly. There was also an issue whereby one of the wedding party guests who had stayed the night before had to change rooms on the wedding day and initially there wasn't a room available for her. We had voiced concerns regarding this at an earlier meeting but it transpired that the error still occurred. This is something the Keavil needs to address.

We would highly recommend the Keavil as a wedding venue with a special mention for Nikala and her team.

I was always passed quickly onto the appropriate department to make payments and they kept me up to date with my balance etc. Nikala was our wedding coordinator she was amazing she took so much upon herself in the days prior to the wedding i don't know how she managed to do it all. she decorated the room beautifully with the items i had brought and she made the day really special for us.

I stayed the night before my wedding with family and we were placed in a separate little room for our family meal which was great and the food was amazing and again staff very attentive.

I have to stress that ALL members of staff were polite and always held the doors open for us when we walked past it was really really nice to experience it and i thank them all for making the effort.

Weather on the wedding day was great and so we managed to go outside for some photographs. lots of locations in the garden to make memories. there was another wedding on the same day but both weddings were staggered in a way that we didn't really see each other.

Honeymoon suite was really nicely decorated with four poster bed apartment style and our gifts were taken up to the room for us.

All in All Keavil house was a great venue for our wedding. the Mountbatten suite was a brilliant size for the number of guests we had and they really looked after us... would definitely recommend.

Our wedding Coordinator Craig was fantastic, having everything so well organised, timed to perfection and very easy to deal with. He kept us all calm and things running to clockwork. The serving staff were efficient and very pleasant, taking the time to chat to us, the bride and groom. In fact we were overwhelmed by the courtesy shown to us and our guests by all the staff, including our breakfast staff. They were absolutely lovely. The Mountbatten suite was decorated as we had instructed it to be and with the flowers by Lilywhite and chair covers by Sashes venue styling, it was beautiful, both for the ceremony and the meal. Our guests complimented our choice of venue, helped hugely also by the wonderful warm April day and being able to spill out onto the immaculate grounds for our line up and wedding photos. and put up with my many emails and requests. All thr help from Jamie and the rest of the team in the lead up and on the day helped to make our day even more special. We were served at the top table by Mags, who provided the family with great service and a few laughs along the way. I would highly recommend the Keavil to anyone who wants a team who put a real effort in with attention to detail and an expertise on what's works on the day.
I would like to think that I wasn't particularly demanding but I do know that everyone went above and beyond for all our guests and dealt with any queries promptly. We had many guests travelling from England who stayed several nights, we also stayed for three nights and could not fault the accommodation.

We booked a whirl wind package for November which included food and drink for 50 day guests, cake, dj, chair covers and sashes amongst other things. We were able to meet all the people who would be involved with our wedding at the wedding fayre. This took a lot of the stress out of the planning as they were altogether in the one place. We tasted and chose the design for the cake at the fayre, seen examples of sashes and even got an excellent deal for our gorgeous centre pieces.
The events team at Keavil were brilliant and always there to answer questions. Our wedding co ordinator, Jamie ensured through a couple of meetings that we knew exactly what to expect, timings for the day and costs etc. Jamie was also present on the day and made sure everything went to plan. We could not fault him or the other members of staff at Keavil.
Included in the whirl wind package was a free spa day which was great! It included use of the spa facilities, facial, nail painting on fingers and toes and also a lunch in the restaurant. Again couldn't fault anything, it was excellent. The only suggestion I would make is that maybe there could be the option for either a girly day (which I had with a friend) or an option for the bride and groom to have a spa day together prior to the big day.
We stayed the night before the wedding and the rooms were excellent, we actually preferred them to the four poster suite we had on our wedding night, just more modern.
The day it's self was amazing, everything went to plan thanks to Jamie and the staff, the food was excellent and guests said it was one of the best weddings they had been to!

mentioned how great a time they had and how they enjoyed the Keavil. Given that a lot of the family stayed at the hotel for a couple of days, and they are of varying age groups I would expect somebody to have something minor to moan about, but it wasn't the case. Everybody loved the rooms, atmosphere, and food.

There were only 2 things we were disappointed with, the first being that a week before the big day we were advised that the hotel generally only put on one vegetarian dish for all vegetarians, which we hadn't been advised previously. We thought they had dealt with this when we said we didn't want to go back to guests to say they couldn't have what they had requested. However, it would appear on the day a random vegetarian dish was provided. Haven't asked each person, but I know a few didn't get the dish they ordered which I think even the hotel would agree looks pretty poor, from both a service and communication point of view.

The second thing we were a bit miffed at was receiving a call the day after the wedding asking about items charged to our room, which we hadn't ordered. In fairness they didn't take it any further, but still a bit awkward being asked they day after your wedding about items you know you have nothing to do with.

Apart from these two things I can honestly say the stay and wedding day was absolutely magical, and I would recommend the Keavil to everybody. Fingers crossed we get another wedding there to attend in the near future.

going there for dinner and when meeting Jamie wins over any other place we visited.

The process of organising your wedding at Keavil is made easy by your events manager who helps you organise your big day. Starting when you book the venue and pay the initial deposit, you can then pick one of the wedding packages, but you do get flexibility.

We had around 75 during the day and about 15 at night, which seems perfect for the Mountbatten Suite. Confirm your numbers between a month and two weeks before the big day. Around this time, you meet with your co-ordinator a couple of times to finalise all the details which Jamie went through with us very professionally. Any questions you have during this time, no problem, you can contact your events manager by email directly
Ohe big day. We were lucky enough to have great weather meaning we could have the ceremony outside. Keavil organised this beautifully, with chairs facing the trees at the bottom of the garden, on either side of the red carpet.
Our ceremony went spectacularly and when we walked down the carpet towards the double doors at the patio, Jamie and Mags were standing to greet us with glasses of bubbly for us and our guests.
The food was outstanding, and extremely well received by all of our guests, some people couldn't stop talking about the beef. We were attended to very well by Mags, she went above and beyond the whole day.

Our wedding at Keavil was fantastic and a dream come true. It completely blew our minds how amazing it was. You can never quite plan for how things might turn out, but the staff at Keavil had everything under control from the very start. Their care and attention was second to none.

After getting proposed to, we wasted no time in contacting various wedding venues, within minutes of contacting the Keavil House Hotel, we had a very detailed and informative reply back from them, something that seemed to take other wedding venues a few days to do. This was important to us as we …

felt that your very first contact with a venue would be a reflection on how your actual wedding day would go.

We arranged a viewing and were shown round by Craig who answered every question we had and told us to contact him anytime if we had even more. The hotel was lovely, but we instantly fell in love with the Elgin Suite as soon as we walked in.

We went with their Whirlwind package they had on, which included the DJ, chair covers and sashes (by Sashes Venue Styling) and the wedding cake (by Cherry On Top), we were given all the information of the DJ and other suppliers and were told exactly when they would contact us.

Jamie Neaves was our wedding co-ordinator and we couldn't have asked for a nicer person. Nothing was too much trouble for him, even when we were adding things on at the last minute.

On the day of the wedding, everything went better than we could have ever imagined. The Elgin Suite was set out perfectly, with the chair covers and sashes looking pristine.

The canapés at the drinks reception were delicious, Mags kindly put some behind the bar for us whilst we had our photos taken in the beautiful grounds.

Our meal was fantastic, 5*, every single guest there has also said this, it was served quickly and all the staff were lovely. Our 3 year old keeps asking when Mags will bring him more food, she was fab with all the kids at their own table.

The room was very quickly turned around for the evening reception and DJ Bill was fantastic entertainment, everyone had a brilliant night, especially the kids on the dance floor.

Thank you to everyone at the Keavil House, especially Jamie, Ross and Mags.

attention to detail, customer service and going the extra mile to make sure everyone from the youngest to the eldest had a great day was brilliant including setting up our Easter egg hunt around the gardens, the kids loved it and it kept them occupied during the 'boring' wedding bits.

Special mentions of course to Craig our wedding co-ordination for all his help and getting us through the day with no hitches and keeping us all on time. Jamie, Mags and of course everyone else in their team. The bar staff worked really hard all night so a big thank you to them and all of the reception team for getting our rooms sorted out and being so helpful with all of our questions.

The food from the main meal to the buffet and then breakfast was great, we'll cooked and presented with ample portions. Rooms were good, plenty of space and we had direct access to the lovely gardens.

We would have no hesitation in recommending the team at Keavil if you want your special day to be extra special

At the meal I was also disappointed that our menu's weren't available on the table for the guests and that Craig had to go and find them! Again didn't cause a lot of problems but there was no mention on them about what the children were eating or what the vegetarian option was especially as we had guests who required this information.
All in al it was a magical day and the venue was perfect I would definitely recommend it.

Our ceremony was held within the Elgin suite first and it looked really good. family members and the service at the hotel and restaurant was amazing our whole stay. All the staff from reception, house keeping and bar/restaurant staff were very nice and helpful and the food was delicious.

Prior to the ceremony I was able to say exactly what I wanted and they accomodated my every request from allergies and fussy eaters to centrepieces and a gaint tableplan. I was kept uptodate with when payments were due etc which made the whole process stress free.

On the day of the service everything was in place and the hall looked beautiful, Craig was very helpful and made sure the day ran smoothly. I was ever so slightly late for the ceremony but this didnt affect the timings for the rest of the day, the staff were very organised and efficient. Our wedding meal was beautiful and the portions were alot bigger than I was actually expecting! Having never been married before we were unsure of small things but Craig kept us informed and guided us the whole day.

We managed to get out into the gardens for our wedding pictures and they were beautiful and well maintained, our photographer had been there before so knew the best spots.

All of our guests have said what a beautiful venue Keavil House is and all had a great day.

We loved our day and wouldnt change one thing and would like to say a massive thank you to all the staff at Keavil, especially Craig, for making our day perfect. Our Wedding was held at the Keavil House on 22 February 2014.
Our co-ordinator for the Wedding throughout all of the preparation was Jamie; only once was he unavailable for the time we wanted to meet up and his colleague, Craig, was just as helpful.

travelling from all over the country we requested room availability for both the day before and the night of the wedding.
At the suggestion of Jamie he reserved space in the main dining area for our guests who were arriving the night before the wedding. Initially we expected this to be approx 20 people, but the number increased to a total of 52 guests. We took over the main restaurant, dedicated for us, and anyone else not in our party were accommodated in the smaller dining rooms adjacent to the main area. The menu was personalised as ‘Mac & Sarah’ pre Wedding Meal. This had all been organised without out knowledge and was a wonderful touch that set the scene for the weekend of celebration. Nothing was too much trouble.
Reception, Bar, Waiting, and domestic staff were all very welcoming, jovial and helpful. All requests were easily accommodated and with genuine goodwill. We used the leisure facilities and booked treatments with Anne, she was great!
Our wedding was held in the Mount Batten Suite, the room was beautifully decorated, for the service, the meal afterwards and the evening festivities.
Jamie was very professional, ensuring everything ran like a swiss watch. He was excellent as Master of Ceremonies. The waiting staff were all timely and efficient, ensuring everything ran smoothly. All the food during our stay was excellent.
Our Room, for 3 nights, was lovely. The only observation on this was that it was a room converted for wheelchair users and had the tiniest sink in the world in the en-suite. We did mention this, were immediately offered an alternative room, which we did not take.
All in all, an excellent experience! We have received positive feedback regarding the hotel and the staff from all our friends and relatives. Some reviews can be found on this forum. Finally, thank you to all the staff who did really go ‘the extra mile’ for us.

The Elgin suite looked fantastic for both the ceremony and the meal and as spacious enough in the evening for many guests. Craig was terrific at guiding us through the day as it progressed and this helped in keeping every ones nerves at bay (well helping reduce them anyway!) .

The meal itself was absolutely excellent, extremely high in terms of quality taste and portion size. Similar reports were made from guests staying the previous evening. Cannot recommend the food aspect enough. Craig again excelled at this point in the day.

Bar staff and service were excellent and could not be faulted. Jamie ensured that the evening aspect ran as smoothly as the day time elements did.

The Elgin suite itself is somewhat detached from the main hotel itself which made the whole wedding day very personal.

Overall we would have no hesitation what so ever in recommending Keavil House to those seeking and excellent quality Wedding venue for an extremely competitive price.

The venue itself (we were in the Mountbatten Suite in the older part of the building) was stunning and the staff at Keavil followed our instruction to the letter in setting up our room which we designed to have a vintage feel. The grounds are gorgeous for photos.
We went for the Summer Wedding Package which included flowers by Hayley Allcoat (1st for Balloons) and chair ties by Sashes Venue Styling which were a beautiful soft champagne, chosen from a vast range of colours to suit all themes.
We chose to add a few extra flowers to our displays and Hayley did this for us at an incredibly reasonable price. She also did our bouquets and buttonholes - they were stunning and she listened to what we requested and delivered over and above our expectations - really excellent.
Our disco by DJ Bill was phenomenal and he mixed Ceilidh with a bespoke list of songs requested by all our guests for us - it was just superb!
We would highly recommend a wedding at Keavil to anyone - just outstanding!

who live in East Kilbride, it was a good middle point location that had enough bedrooms for our guests as well as great facilities such as the Spa.
I had oreviously used the Keavil House Hotel when i was younger with my parents on a weekly basis so knew the venue well and the facilities that could be offered, it was nice to see it was still the same as I remembered while having a modern yet traditional feel and look.

The Wedding and Events team could not have been friendlier or more willing to help where possible, especially with having our wedding abroad and then hosting a celebration party, they understood we didnt necessarily require all the typical wedding stuff, even though we wanted it to feel like a evening reception.
We booked the Elgin Suite for our paty, which was great as has the capacity of around 300 guests. The decor in the room and reception area of the Elgin Suite is lovely, very nice colours and well laid out; we liked the fact that it was seperate from the hotel but was still within walking distance if people wanted to head back to their rooms.
The buffet was great, we got compliments all night on how great the food was, especially the haggis and gluten free options.

Overall, I would recommend the keavil House Hotel to have as your Wedding Venue or Party location, as the service received is exceptional.

day , myself and my husband were very happy with our wedding and could not have asked for a better day , the meal was gorgeous however being the bride i was far to excited to eat very much, the staff were quick and efficent of turning the room and our guests thoroughly enjoyed there day . i would recommend the keavil for any wedding ceremony big or small and i hope to return one day hopefully as a bridesmaid or a wedding guest because i know i will be in great hands here.

From the initial enquiry to the actaul day of our wedding, we couldn't have wished for a more proffessional and helpful staff. that everything was under control, even to the point of escorting the Mother of the Bride to her seat prior to the ceremony starting. It was, the day was perfect. The Wedding Breakfast was of the highest standard the food was phenomonal. The waiting staff were friendly, polite and very efficient.

The reception staff ensured that all guests were accommodated within close proximity to one another and that all queries were answered and solved very quickly, again, nothing was too much trouble.

I would recommend Great Western Keavil House Hotel to anyone who is looking to have a problem free, thoroughly enjoyable and memorable, not only for the Guests but for the Bride and Groom, wedding day.

planner that we originally spoke to left, which wasn't know until I called up a few months before regarding the wedding. We ending up having Craig who was brilliant! My only disappointment was the information given by the first guy, regarding the children's drinks packages was changed from the original conversations, so after the children's drinks package information went on the information invites to our guests, this was pretty embarrassing to then turn round to say the hotel changed the details for this.

Saying that, if that was my only complaints about a whole wedding day, then I got over it fast. The hotel staff, from the night before the wedding, through the whole day could not have been more helpful. Craig was brilliant, keeping the day going, but not putting any pressure on both me and my husband to rush through the schedule. The staff that made a leaning tower of Pisa cake standing straight!

The staff were fabulous in helping set up the room, and Craig's pro-activness when last minuet guests could not make it and therefore not making the reception rooms look like there were people missing.
All the waiting staff smiled and really makes the day go a whole lots easier and quicker.

I really do have to comment on the housekeeping staff. (don't panic, in a good way)! I stayed in the hotel the night before the wedding. Asking for a room with good natural light, was comedy for my husband and Craig, but any women will agree that make-up needs good light. Craig put me in a room with good light - thanks again :-). I got ready in the room and left for the Church, a little later than the recommended check out time. The housekeeping staff were fab and packed up the things in the room and put them in the honeymoon suit for us coming back to the hotel. This makes all the difference to a bride when someone says, 'don't worry, we'll sort it out'.

There was no hassle through the day, no problems that couldn't be sorted and what we did or didn't know about. It was a brilliant day!!

It's the staff that make a hotel, and word of mouth is far greater than anything else. I would recommend the Keavil House Hotel to anyone wishing to make any celebration special.
