So, you're newly engaged and don't know where to start with wedding planning? Well let me introduce you to our traditional country house venue! We know planning can be complicated so we have put together 3 perfect venue packages to simplify everything for you. Plus when you book, we will provide you with our 'wedding planning timeline guide' to give you an idea of what to book and when, as well as our 'reccommended suppliers list' so you dont have to go searching for contacts yourself! Now doesnt that sound nice and easy?

The Stone House Hotel have years of experience expertly running weddings from small intimate ceremonies to lavish receptions, we pride ourselves on providing the highest level of service and a warm welcoming atmosphere. We understand that planning a wedding can become quite challenging so our dedicated events team are on hand right from your initial contact through to the big day itself.

We understand that each wedding is unique and our bespoke service will tend to the usual and the unusual. Our professional and friendly staff take pride in their high quality service to you and your guests and understand that only the best will do for your big day.

The Stone House Hotel is licensed to hold Civil Ceremonies in our Garden Room with traditional features and large floor to ceiling windows overlooking our beautiful and romantic grounds. We can't think of a more perfect place to say 'I do'!

We work closely with our Executive Chef and his team to produce the most delicious wedding menu for you and your guests. These can be found in our Wedding Packages, however we welcome any suggestions or personal requests that you may have to make it truly a perfect day.

After a wonderfully romantic day it's time to celebrate and once again we work closely with you to create your own personal evening reception with a variety of options available.

Our newly renovated Princes Suite, softly lit by chandeliers, is perfect for your wedding breakfast and evening events. With space for up to 120 people, all of your family and friends can join the celebrations. This suite has a private bar and bathrooms so your guests can relax and enjoy the beautiful settings in one place.

We offer preferential accommodation rates to your guests if you wish to reserve some bedrooms, which include breakfast and full use of our leisure facilities.

From planning to the wedding day India and her team assisted us in every way possible. Beautiful venues are available everywhere but wonderful staff are not. The team at the Stonehouse Hotel took so much of the stress away by being helpful above and beyond, nothing was too much trouble. The …

facilities at the venue are excellent and this helped keep the whole party happy by providing the pool for the children and young adults, easy access for our older guests with lots of help from the staff and great bar and restaurant areas for the days leading up to the big day. We used a set package for our wedding to keep costs down and added things as we needed them, I must say it was excellent value for money as we received a wonderful day far beyond our expectations. If you choose the Stonehouse you will definitely not be disappointed!

Wedding Reception

Very happy with India and the staff at the Stonehouse. We had a lovely wedding reception there.
Excellent choice for our vegan guest.
Everyone was very complimentary and guests who stayed liked their rooms and the breakfast.

Had an amazing day. All the staff were great! Helpful and attentive. From the moment we first enquired to the morning after the wedding everything and everyone was amazing!

warm, welcoming and all our questions were not a problem.

From the moment we booked to the actual day, everything was brilliantly managed for us, we dealt mainly with Mike, but spoke to Kim a few times, who was equally as attentive as Mike.

On the actual day, Mike was there to help us run through and set up everything.

The room was set up how we wanted, the flowers for the ceremony and top table were exactly what we wanted.

The food for the wedding breakfast was beautiful and everyone was catered for from vegetarians to someone with celiac disease.

The choices of wine and champagne were gorgeous.

The whole day from start to finish was perfect for us.

Mike was on hand from early on in the day until late at night, he made sure everything ran without a hitch.

All our guests throughly enjoyed the day and their stay at the hotel.

Definitely recommend to anyone planning a wedding, the packages they offer are amazingly good value and the service received from every single member of staff is five star.

So anyone reading this, definitely consider the stone house for any events you are planning, you will not be disappointed!
