and down the stairs with my dress and did last minute veil adjustments when required! All the staff worked very hard to ensure that our day was flawless. The waiting staff were professional and ensured our drinks were always topped up and everything was to our satisfaction. The rooms were set up beautifully with great attention to detail. The bar staff were great, and kept the drinks flowing all evening.

We would whole-heartily recommend this venue to anyone considering it, it went above and beyond our expectations. We loved every second of our day and are so grateful to the hotel staff for all their help.

had at the wedding was delicious, portion sizes and decoration was fantastic, even the food we had the night before was great. All our guests were commenting on how lovely everything was including their rooms!! Would definitely recommend couples to have their wedding there!! stayed at the hotel the night before with my bridesmaids and make up lady and we had a really pleasant evening.
I took all of my table decorations etc over to the hotel in the day the day before and were stored in a locked room at the hotel.
These were all set up by the hotel team on the day of the wedding and looked marvellous.

Our ceremony was brilliant,amazing canapés and celebratory drinks whilst our photographer snapped away!
Every step of the way Clinton and don were on hand to help the day run with ease.
The meal was amazing with generous portions.

We used dj Steve Caldwell who was recommended by the hotel. Steve did an exceptionally great job especially with the limited playlist we supplied him with.
Rene also recommended by the hotel made our cake for us. The cake was absolutely perfect.
Rene was so professional and made sure she knew exactly how we wanted our cake to look/taste.
Rene got it spot on,it looked stunning and tasted amazing.

Lovely gardens for photographs.
All the staff were friendly and very helpful.

Can't wait to return in a year for our anniversary meal on the hotel :)

I couldn't recommend this place enough.

the only one he ever has to coordinate and is full of ideas. The team did such an amazing job in setting up the venue exactly how we wanted it. Just a few quick instructions to Clinton and the whole thing was done perfectly. We used Dj Steve Caldwell and Kayleigh Hemphill for hair and make up who were both recommended by the hotel and both fantastic! Don did an amazing job as Master of Ceremonies and it was a pleasure for us to have his services for this last wedding at the hotel.

The food was brilliant and portions sizes were great. The catering staff are all friendly and full of smiles, adding to the atmosphere of what could only be described as the perfect day. The gardens were beautiful, and with the help of a little bit of sunshine and some balcony bows and tree decorations, it looked amazing and was a perfect setting for our professional photographs.

The reception staff were brilliant and there to help with the smallest of needs. They were all friendly and full of good wishes for us. We had a buffet breakfast the next morning in our own room as many of our guests stayed, which was the perfect end to a perfect couple of days.

If you are looking for a beautiful wedding venue with a fantastic team, go and visit Legacy Thatchers now!! You will not regret it!!!

Wedding went without any drama and the food is AMAZING. Very professional staff all round throughout our stay and catered to all our needs. We cannot wait to come back next year for our 1 year anniversary (but I think we'll be back before then) and HIGHLY recommend this venue to anyone. 100/100 in our view!

The ceremony was perfect, the wedding breakfast exceptional and the reception was fantastic.
As a venue for a wedding the setting was very picturesque and we had some lovely photos from the day and evening.
I would strongly recommend this as a wedding venue and every one of our guests had a fantastic day.

There is ample parking. We wanted just one venue for the day, that could cater for both ceremony, wedding breakfast and evening reception. The ceremony room had character, exclusive use of the restaurant for the breakfast, and a wonderful large room with dance floor and easy access to outside for the evening.
However, this venue excelled in terms of the experience and attention to detail by Clinton, the wedding co-ordinator and his team. All through the planning stage, we received great help and advice. The day itself ran like clockwork, was perfectly organised and we felt relaxed and very well looked after. Each room looked wonderful and the food and service were great.
We also loved the peripheral services recommended by Clinton, in terms of the DJ and the florist.

We cannot praise Thatchers and the Wedding team enough and we had a perfect day, with a little dusting of magic. Thank You.

guests stayed overnight and commented on the friendliness of the staff and the quality of the rooms. A special mention to Clinton the wedding planner, he was just wonderful from our first meeting which continued throughout the build up and the entire day. He took the strain off what could have been a stressful day and made it just perfect for us all. Also a mention to go out to Don who was a great master of ceremonies. All in all a wonderful day was had by all, there is nothing we would have changed about the day/night.

spotless, the food and service were outstanding and all our needs were met. It was everything the hubby and I wanted...and more! In particular, Clinton (Wedding co-ordinator) who from the first meeting to on the day was absolutely fantastic (and has a great sense of humour!) he listened, offered so many ideas, supported us throughout the whole process and as a result all my 115 guests said what a brilliant day it was. I can't thank the hotel enough for making it a truly memorable day.

me relax so much, he was such a big help. On the actually day, seeing Clinton & knowing he was there organising everything we had gone through, made me relax even more, so I was able to soak up the atmosphere & enjoy myself. The whole day was perfect & run smoothly & we can't thank everyone enough. The Master of Cermony-Peruon (I am sorry if I have spelt this wrong) was amazing, he had everything under control & made sure that everyone at my wedding was happy & the staff were on the ball as well. My father especially was impressed & will be writing a thank you card to you all.

outside of what is standard to ensure that the day was perfect - and it truly was. On the day itself, Clinton and Don were ever-present in the
background ready to guide us (as well as our guests) throughout the day, keeping an eye on timelines and our guests' ever little need. The kitchen at the Ramada is great as well, and our wedding breakfast and evening buffet were really good. All in all, this is a fantastic value wedding venue - great little garden, nice photo spots, lovely restaurant, great halls for games or dancing; but that's not the real reason to have your wedding here...the real reason is truly the support, guidance and peace of mind you'll get from Clinton, Don and the wonderful staff handling events at the hotel. Good job chaps.

answered all questions (big and small) with just the right balance of experience and understanding at our lack of confidence. The other staff members deserve a thank you too - Don (master or ceremonies) especially but all staff members were polite and helpful at all times.
The building and gardens are great for photos, and whilst adjacent to a road the traffic is quiet and non intrusive. The wedding breakfast was enjoyed by all without complaint - including the children's meal.
Overall we had a fantastic day at the Ramada and look forward to returning for the complimentary meal next year - if we don't return sooner!

confident that everything would run smoothly. He had lots of useful advice, but at no stage did we feel like he was "taking over", it was our event that his team were facilitating. We expected some sort of small hitch on the day, due to the number of different things that had to be organised (ceremony, wedding breakfast, party, accomodation etc), but everything ran perfectly. Clinton and his team made us feel very at ease on the day, so that we could simply enjoy a wonderful day and not worry about anything. We had lots of very positive feedback from all our guests about the day and everyone enjoyed it tremendously. The ceremony was beautiful, the wedding breakfast was delicious and the party was a lot of fun. Overall, we couldn't recommend this venue more highly if you are considering a wedding.

I would definitely recommend this hotel for a wedding and also for staying over the rooms are all decorated really nicely and lovely and clean. We are already planning our night stay for our anniversary next year.

above and beyone to make it a great day. For example, my maid of honor had her 5 week old baby along. Her parents were helping take care of baby so she could enjoy the day. Baby was fussing and crying during dinner so her parents had to go back to their room. Don arranged for their meals to be sent up to their room no problem. It's those extra thoughtful touches that helped.

One meeting with Clinton and he gives you a feeling of confidence. You know you can trust him on the day not to forget anything. He also has a detailed checklist that we went through about a week before the wedding that helped us with stuff we hadn't even thought of.

The only complaint we had is the party couldn't last longer as everyone was having such a good time!

I would highly recommend the Ramada for a wedding venue - amazing staff, ace food, pretty setting and excellent value for money. There were no hidden costs and Clinton was very flexible and accomadating as far as customizing our wedding package to our needs and budget.

All of our guests were so impressed with every aspect of the Staff & Venue The Staff all went that extra mile to make our special day the most enjoyable and memorable.
A massive Thank You to Rene, for the most wonderful cake, enjoyed and complimented by all, and all completed in very short notice.
Don who was also superb in welcoming and introductions to the party. A great asset to Thatchers, with a very warming, friendly manner.
The Chef and all the other staff, who all contributed to our lovely day.
The setting was also outstanding for the photoshoot and added that extra bit of glamour.
Would highly recommend, First Class Service.

wedding we received first class personal service and this continued right up until we left the day after. My husband and I completely trusted Clinton and his team and we had nothing to worry about. I even had breakfast hand delivered to my room by Clinton on the morning of my wedding.
The ceremony was beautiful, the grounds are stunning and the food was 1st class.
The wedding took place in serveral rooms throughout the day and ourselves and our guests were moved without any fuss or interuption at all, they even moved all our decorations.
The bedrooms we stayed in were lovely, clean and comfortable.
If I had to do it all again, I would do it the Legacy Thatchers in Guildford.
The only negative feedback from our guests was the price of the drinks, these did seem to represent London hotel prices. Everyone still managed to have a fantastic time though.
