We had such a fantastic wedding day at The Talbot, we wanted to do it all again! The whole day just flew by.
Being a bit of a control freak it was very hard to let go of the reins on the day and trust that everything would run smoothly, but because of the amazing Krystyna and her team, that is exactly what I did!
I didn’t have one stressful moment because she was there every step of the way making sure it all ran like clockwork. Krystyna was wonderful to work with and instilled such faith and confidence throughout the planning. We felt so supported and that our wedding was as important to The Talbot as it was to us. All our guests raved about the venue, staff service and food. A special mention to Nicholas as well. He helped me with my dress as I was walking across the courtyard to the ceremony and was wonderful at calming the wedding party’s nerves before walking down the aisle.
From start to finish it was a magical day at a wonderful venue. Thank you.

The Talbot, and more importantly Krystyna, were amazing to work with. From our very first meeting with Krystyna, she was incredibly understanding and helpful and ensured we could have exactly the wedding that we wanted.

And then COVID happened...

But still, throughout the entire lockdown, …

Krystyna provided regular updates on the situation and how The Talbot were making changes in order to be compliant. We were adamant that our wedding date and getting married was the most important thing, so Krystyna helped us to adjust our plans for the day to ensure we could still go ahead.

We ended up just having the ceremony at The Talbot and again, we were given amazing support to ensure that - although different - our day still went off without a hitch! In short, they went above and beyond to help us salvage our day and make sure it was the best it could possibly be. Although we have no intention of getting married again - when we next have a big celebration, and indeed if we decide to redo our reception next year, we will keep The Talbot in mind - it's a beautiful venue with a wonderful and supportive team.

Dean was a massive hit with everyone! The decorations team were just fabulous - both rooms looked absolutely stunning. Jody our photographer was brilliant and we were so happy we chose her. Our DJ was spot on and we loved dancing the night away!

It was a very hot hot day but we all sucked it up and sweated it out. God knows how I kept going from 4am Sunday morning until 1am Monday morning but I loved every single second and would do anything to re live it all. Louise has already said to us - “can we do it again one day .... maybe you can re-new your vows sometime”.

The bridal suite was stunning and spacious for me and my four bridesmaids to get ready in and spent a very comfortable night in the beautiful four-poster bed. I also had friends and family staying in the hotel and it was a lovely experience to have another great meal in the morning with all of our closest friends and family. Both days they catered to all sorts of dietary requirements (Me and Mum are Ceoliac and about half our friends are Vegetarian or Vegan) and they were always checking that everyone was happy and had enough food and drinks. The venue was literally perfect, heaps of our guests got rooms both on the wedding night and on the wedding eve, the rooms were lovely, the staff are adorable, food was delicious, everything looked and felt wonderful!
Francesco took care of us on our big day and he couldn’t have been more helpful and was real fun to be around too. Bar staff were lovely, the hotel reception staff were fab and Lea was pricelessly funny too!
I hope not forgetting anything. I think it’s obvious that I really can’t praise this place enough.

We found The Talbot the perfect size to seat 67 at the Wedding Breakfast and for a total of 100 guests in the evening (although I do believe they can accommodate more).

Krystyna was extremely helpful from start to finish and we were immediately put at ease by her expertise. We'd set our date last …

October and our April wedding could be accommodated.

We met with Krystyna 3 or 4 times; nothing was too much trouble for her and we put our complete confidence in her.

Their checklists, to finalise details, are extremely good and were also an aide-memoire to ourselves.

When the day arrived, everything was perfect! We arrived after our church ceremony (but one can have ceremonies there), and received our guests in the lovely Garden Room where delicious canapes were served with the arrival beverages.

There was ample time for photos in the garden prior to being seated for the Wedding Breakfast - the food was absolutely delicious and we would certainly recommend booking a Taster Evening - this was a huge factor and, we actually found it very helpful to take my two adult sons so that there was more of an informed choice and it was actually an evening of fun too! We decided on different wines for the actual day and this was easily accommodated.

The waiting staff were swift and professional and the quality of food on the day was equally as good as our Taster Session.

What we found most beneficial was having the accommodation in the same location; this made such a difference to the guests who'd travelled further to be able to check in and settle without the worry of driving back later that evening.

As said, a perfect day from start to finish! Thank you to everyone at The Talbot, we would highly recommend them!

our guests had everything that was needed, and were where we needed to be. He even brought me a bucket of ice for my feet as my wedding shoes were aching on a particularly hot day, and put aside a plate of dinner for my toddler that didn't want to eat. The venue was decorated perfectly by Ether Events , and the staff were happy and helpful.

It was a little frustrating having a sound limiter on the dancefloor, and not being able to open the door to get the room cool in the heat. But the gorgeous, lit courtyard was a beautiful alternative, and another way to mingle with our guests in the evening.

We are so grateful for all the help received from Russell and Krystyna, and highly recommend the venue.

The day before and after the wedding, we spent a lot of time with our guests in the bar area at the Talbot. Although the bar area is not exclusive for us but it felt really private. For the wedding, we had our own area for food and drinks. It was good to have everyone in one place so we didn't have to walk around to find our guests. The venue is big enough to have 66 guests for the day and 90 guests for the evening. Richard, who's our wedding host, kept everything on schedule and organised. the Wedding to the day itself. Krystyna is incredibly kind, helpful and patient with a wealth of experience and a true professional. She clearly loves and cares about her work and puts a lot of effort in creating the very Wedding you are looking for.

Flexibility was key to us regarding the menu and accommodation for our guests, both the night before and the day of the Wedding and Krystyna never failed to help us in so many ways – including an emergency call minutes before the Ceremony to help fix some body tape to my Wedding Dress straps! We were made to feel that nothing was too much trouble.

Russell is the perfect host and again we couldn’t have wished for better - we all loved him. He was fantastic with us and our Guests all day long (and beyond!) and he knew exactly how to cajole them to be where and when they were meant to be at various times of the day, without them feeling in any way they were being organized. The timings were faultless, the food was outstanding and the atmosphere was intimate and amazing. We were able to enjoy every minute of our Wedding with no worries about arrangements – priceless.

The day went perfectly without any problems, this was due to being in the capable hands of Russell who looked after us and our guests on the day. All of the staff I came into contact with before the big day and during the wedding were polite and chatty. We had a March wedding breakfast and reception at the Talbot. The entire team were amazing. Especially Russell who kept the day moving and entertaining, always made sure we (bride and groom) were happy too. Thank you to the whole team for such a memorable day.

our guests knew where to go and what to do, he sorted things out that even I'd forgotten!! He can read a crowd brilliantly and will have your guests eating out the palm of his hand! The serving staff are polite, friendly and attentive and will still be wearing a smile at 2am! The food was absolutely second to none and to have all our guests comment on how gorgeous the buffet was too, shows the quality and effort this hotel put in. The grounds are superb, the barns are so romantic and the bedrooms are quaint and brimming with character. Even all our belongings and gifts were collected up by staff and locked away for us to deal with in the morning, we didn't have to do anything except enjoy ourselves all day!! If I could do it all again but had a million pound to spend I still wouldn't have changed a thing about yesterday. The Talbot was the best decision we made and we haven't stopped receiving messages of how it was 'the best wedding our friends have ever attended' (and we are all in our forties so they've been to a few)! Breakfast this morning was a massive extended wedding in the garden room and was so delicious - nobody wanted to go home! These guys have become our friends and if I could give them 10 stars I would. Fantastic experience all round. Very helpful and patient in the lead up and very slick on the day. Excellent value for money and a beautiful all-in-one setting. We felt at ease on site and with the staff.

Talbot being taking over we did have a few problems with co-ordinators at first. However when we had a permanent co-ordinator to talk too, she was very helpful and quick to reply to emails. The Talbot is in a lovely setting and if you want a small and lovely wedding The Talbot is the place!

they were so helpful in offering suggestions for the day and recommending suppliers as well as generally going above and beyond at any opportunity. In the run up to the and on the day itself we knew we were always in safe hands with The Talbot team! We had the most perfect day and our wedding was nothing short of amazing thanks to the team at the Talbot. Several guests commented it was the best food they'd ever had at a wedding and commented how great the venue and staff were too. Huge thanks to all at The Talbot for making our dream wedding a reality!

The following day all of our decoration bits and been put together so we just had to put it in our car.
We received exactly the right amount of communication from them and if ever I had a question they were quick to respond.
All of this was at a very reasonable price. The total of our wedding was less then half the price of the average wedding but that did not come across in the level of standards or ambience.
