We had the day of our lives on our wedding day at the Westcliff. The setting is wonderful for a sunny summer’s day.

We started venue-hunting 18 months beforehand; the Westcliff had higher capacity and better prices than the other venues we saw. We also decided we wanted guests to be able to

crash nearby, and blocked every room for us, which was great. Emily knew all the answers and even gave us the name of the hotel’s florist so we could arrange for them to use our colour scheme in the lobby at no extra cost.

Cake, room decorations, seating plan etc. are set up ahead of the day, and the staff did a wonderful job of making the room look as we pictured it. The florist was also able to come in on the morning and finish off the tables and cake.

Upon arrival from our ceremony we were whisked off for photos in the cliff gardens. This is very reliant on weather, but the Westcliff is blessed by lush public gardens and Victorian viewing areas overlooking the estuary.

Our invitations offered guests three choices for each course, plus three options for the kids, and this ran like clockwork. Each waiter knew exactly where they were going, rather than asking who wanted what, as we have seen elsewhere. The food itself was fantastic.

After speeches we vacated the suite for the change-over. The lounge bar had space for everyone, though most people took the opportunity to head outside again. The Westcliff does also have its own terrace and small garden at the front of the premises, where we saw some of our evening guests for the first time after another batch of photos.

The Westcliff does offer a DJ as part of their wedding package, but the band we hired brought their own. No sound issues.

For the rest of the night people spread throughout the ground floor. It really was lovely that every person there was one of our well-wishers, and our more elderly relatives slunk upstairs during the course of the evening.

So in conclusion – we highly recommend the place!

Being a bride to me meant 'playing' princess for the day, and Emily the Events Manager certainly made me feel that way!

The room was absolutely beautiful, everybody really enjoyed themselves, staff were unbelievably helpful and polite. Every request was dealt with professionally and promptly, and

I never felt I was asking to much.

I would have liked a little more contact in the run up to the wedding, but do appreciate that this was a massive day to me but another wedding to the Westcliff, although on the day I felt that I was the only bride ever!!

I did attend another wedding a month after mine at the Westcliff, I was very warmly welcomed and witnessed that Emily takes pride in her work and makes every bride feel like a princess! Thank you Emily and thank you Westcliff Hotel x

The wedding planner ensured that all our guests were well looked after and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their day, food for our sit down meal and buffet was highly complimented too. A wonderful location for a wedding reception that I would highly recommend to anyone.

We had our wedding at The Westcliff Hotel a few weeks ago and couldn't fault it. We chose this hotel because it's local and we wanted to have the ceremony and reception in one place. We also like the fact that the hotel has retained many of its original features and is perfectly located on the

cliffs above the seafront.

The venue was amazing, the staff were brilliant and I have no complaints at all. The day went brilliantly and the guests also commented on how great the venue and staff were. Special mention to Kim for sorting out my car crash of a wedding cake so beautifully!

Would highly recommend this venue to anyone.

We loved hosting our wedding at the Westcliff Hotel. It's a great location, right by the sea front, with amazing views.

David and I were married at The Westcliff Hotel on Saturday 31st August 2013. We had looked at several other local wedding venues but Kim immediately impressed us with her detailed knowledge of what was available, what could be arranged, costings and timings.
The Westcliff Hotel offered everything

we wished for to make our day perfect. We needed accommodation for our guests, who ranged in age from 6 months to 80+ years and everyone was found a room to suit them. The bridal suit was large and very comfortable, with sea view and Jacuzzi bath!
The Savoy suite for the ceremony and Windsor suite for the reception were beautifully decorated by the hardworking staff who arranged everything we brought in to create our red, white and blue, seaside theme with great attention to detail.
Katrina Croft of 'Bespoke Wedding Designs' dressed the tables and arranged red, white and blue flowers in small white buckets to stunning effect. Our bouquets, buttonholes and corsages were perfect, even down to the tiny buttonhole for our 3 year old ring bearer.
Georgina Hyde printed our name cards, table names, menus and seating plan to fit with our theme and colour scheme and customised our favour boxes to look like treasure chests.
The food and wine were excellent, all our guests enjoyed their meal and commented on the quality and variety of the evening buffet. Service was efficient and timely. John and his staff looked after us extremely well. Our wedding cake, which was made by Ann at 'Cakeabella', looked and tasted wonderful and was served with the evening buffet.
Our guests had been forewarned about the parking situation and no one had undue difficulty in finding a space.
It was a glorious day and even the blue sky, white hotel and red Westcliff Hotel sign joined in with our theme!!
We cannot say thank you enough to Kim and all her staff for making our day so smooth and thoroughly enjoyable.

We loved the Westcliff Hotel!

From the start we were bowled over with the friendliness of the staff, especially Kim and John. They made us feel welcome, were happy to accommodate our numerous requests and large number of guests - making it all really simple. They responded quickly and patiently

to even the most silly of questions and made us glad we had chosen the venue for our day. We had a lot of rain, so having everything all in one place really worked for us and we are very grateful we stayed. The suites provided plenty of room for getting ready and a nice place to stay after the wedding. They accommodated all of the many different dietary requirements and the food was of an excellent standard, as was the wine. We couldnt recommend the venue more highly.

We had a wonderful vintage style wedding at the classic seaside Westcliff Hotel! Being local, we wanted a trusted fami4liar venue to hold a great big party - and that's what we had. we had a short formal ceremony in the Savoy Suite and then guests enjoyed the sunshine whilst we had photos in the

Cliff Gardens opposite and on the dodgems at Peter Pans.
We then had beautifully set up breakfast in the Windsor Suite followed by evening reception. The staff were all fabulous, Kim in particular was so helpful and patient leading up to the day.
As many of our guests were local the parking wasn't a problem, but for out of towners - the shortage of parking may be something you need to think about alerting your guests to. (this really is the only tinky tiny downside)
Food great, turnaround of the rooms great, staff friendly, helpful and flexible, plenty of opportunity for nice photos both inside and out and, of course a sea view!
