Tylney Hall staff on the day and the lead up couldn't be faulted, we had a few requests which was no problem for anyone to help us with, especially settting up the morning of with all hands on deck. The day was perfect for us and we couldn't be more thankful.

The only slight downside was the checking in and out process, we found there was a bottle neck with long queues before being seen however once at the front of the queue the service was excellent. Possibly due to staff being stretched thin. It would have also been nice for the Bride and Groom to be automatically being checked in rather than having to wait themselves to check in during their big day!

Overall we are so pleased that we picked Tylney Hall to host our Wedding, thank you to everyone involved!

GARRY SAMPSON - Garry was truly brilliant throughout the entire process; from the planning stages, to the day itself. Always courteous and quick to respond to our queries, nothing was ever too much trouble, and we cannot thank him enough for his first class service. Garry accommodated every single request we made; including (but not limited to) organising the starlit backdrop, providing bat-shaped napkins, and ensuring our dog was in a dog-friendly room. Garry is a real asset to your team, who clearly cares a great deal about every guest and event he is involved with. We cannot thank him enough for all his hard work.

DEBBIE - when Garry was away on annual leave, Debbie picked up his emails to respond to. Equally courteous and happy to help, we'd like to thank Debbie for stepping in and promptly providing the answers we needed to our queries.

ALEX - Alex ran our wedding in the evening, and did a fantastic job of doing so. Everything ran smoothly, and every guest had a great time. In the evening we requested one or two changes to the running order, and Alex ensured that these were carried out with no fuss, and with superb flexibility.

food was delicious...many empty plates and the service was incredible. A big thank you to Debbie and all the staff at Tylney Hall for their hard work in making our day seamless and very special.

It's hard to know where to begin with the excellent standard of service we have received from Tylney Hall Hotel since January 2019. We first met Garry and booked Tylney as our wedding venue in January, 2019, for a May 2020 wedding. Garry was friendly, attentive and provided excellent recommendations for 3rd party suppliers. As we went into 2020 and the pandemic started, our first wedding date of May 2020, was cancelled due to the lockdown. The support, empathy and speed at which Garry supported us to rearrange for November 2020 was outstanding. It gave us such reassurance knowing that we were not the only wedding being rearranged. Yet again, in November 2020, bad luck struck again, as just 21 days before our scheduled wedding it was cancelled again. To finally have our wedding last weekend was literally like a dream come true. The attention to detail that Garry has put into all of the planning and itinerary ensured that Allon and Alex were able to provide the highest level of service to us and our guests across the whole weekend. All of the rooms looked perfect, The Newnham for the ceremony, The Mattingly for the wedding breakfast and The Chestnut for the evening. The praise throughout the weekend from our friends and family was consistently outstanding, whether it be the staff, the food or the rooms. Everything was literally perfect. Garry has the patience of a saint, as I know I was highly strung at times, but he has made the whole experience wonderful.

we were happy. Every little detail was taken care of and there was nothing out of place. The DJ and Toastmaster recommended by Tylney were excellent. All of our guests remarked on the beauty of the facilities, the quality of the food and the service and the overall wedding experience.
The small things that made a big difference were the schloer for me on arrival (I’m pregnant), being served our own canapés when we were busy greeting people, the menu options (all allergies catered for), the extras for the children in their rooms (duck food and colouring books) and the overall attentiveness of the staff.
I would highly recommend Tylney Hall to anyone as a wedding venue. Many of our guests said it was the best wedding they’d ever been to and we feel very lucky to have celebrated our marriage there.

The Falconry was absolutely fantastic – everyone enjoyed it and we stayed for nearly 2.5 hours in the end. The falconer (didn’t catch his name) was incredibly knowledgeable and interesting and it was great fun - please pass on our sincere thanks to him.

What can we say other than, Thank you very much for making our Wedding day so amazing!
From start to finish it was impeccable, Garry as always was just great and couldn't of been more helpful throughout, even with a few last minute requests from myself. The day itself was amazing, we absolutely loved it, i wish i could do it all over again.

The staff were brilliant and very patient with us from Allon being in charge of music to being our toastmaster in parts, thank you. The last minute shots served by Martin, which went down very well and calmed a few nerves, particularly Kevin's!
The food turned out to be Great! again a big thank you for adapting this menu for us, everybody loved the food, we had some great comments on this, Artus brought out extra food out for our more hungry guests, not that it was needed. The buffet too was great, i hear, although i did not see this even come out let alone try some of the food but I'm glad it all went well.
One guest said it was the best buffet he'd ever had and he has been to a lot of weddings :-) Thank you to Chef and his team.

The turn around to the evening was great, everybody just had a great time, so once again Thank you so much for looking after us.

What a fantastic wedding! All of the staff went above and beyond for our wedding. As a bride, I didn't have a single worry on the day! I felt completely confident in Tylney and everything that was done for it! I couldn't thank the venue enough for making the day so perfect! We were exceptionally lucky with the weather but even had it rained, it would have been just as perfect!

It is clear to see how much time, effort and attention goes into making the weddings run as smoothly as they do! From the waiter bringing me a glass of water when he could see I was nervous before the ceremony, to the staff carefully tidying up our flowers at the end of the night-thank you all!!!

And a HUGE thank you to the brilliant Lucinda who took every single worry away from me throughout the process! She gave myself and Ritchie every confidence in our wedding when she took over from Louise and we felt extremely lucky to have her work on our wedding! Her speed in getting back to us and sorting any queries was the best it could be and she was extremely professional and friendly throughout! decorations in the bar, which we had expected to have to put up ourselves the day before but couldn't. The service during drinks and the wedding breakfast was impeccable and all the Tylney Hall staff worked very hard and professionally while keeping a discreet profile. The evening buffet was scrumptious and the bacon rolls in particular went down a storm. When we went in the next morning we were again delighted to find that all the clearing up had already been done and our decorations and belongings were left neatly to one side for us, ready to pack into the car.

Many of our guests commented on how delicious they found the food, and I was particularly pleased with the canapés, which were plentiful and the only things we hadn't taste-tested. The chocolate dipped strawberries were hugely popular with the children! Please do pass our grateful thanks to the chefs who did a very fine job all round.

We thought at first that Tylney Hall would probably be beyond our means but we went along to the October wedding showcase anyway, and having seen the beautiful setting and what would be included in the wedding package, and having experienced a warm, personalised welcome, it took us all of ten seconds to decide, and I will never regret that decision. We will all have such happy memories of an absolutely perfect day and a wonderful start to their married life. Thank you again to everyone, seen and unseen, who contributed to it.

Throughout the 18 months of planning our wedding, Garry was in no less of a word fantastic! No phone call was to much of a bother and no visit for a question or three pages was a hassle. He helped us with ideas for our wedding when we were not sure about certain things and when a minor accident happened the day before our wedding with our table plan, Garry went out of his way to rectify it. had chosen and the care and attention to detail that not only we had put in, but from everyone at Tylney Hall. Every staff member that not only we, but all of our guests came across, on the day couldn't have done any more to make everyone feel welcome and no-one wanted for anything! The dinner service was second to none as was the evening buffet. Thank you so much for taking the time with all of our requests and needs in the planning process, everything was perfect!

thanks to Ben who was looking after us, he was there on hand all day, evening, into the night and there again at breakfast this meant a lot to us and felt very personal. Our toast master also was amazing and really helped to coordinate everyone, this really does make all the difference!!! We loved being greeted when we arrived, this made us both feel so special, and I for one needed that drink!! Finally the food was incredible, it all tasted so amazing, and lots of our guests mentioned this, so a huge thumbs up to the chef. Breakfast in the morning was also perfect, loved the little room and this felt again super special.

Comments: The wedding team and staff at Tylney Hall are superb, the day ran smoothly with no issues or problems. Garry was very helpful and accomadating, we had to add one more person at the last minute and this was dealt with effectively and efficiently which is the same for the planning of the wedding. Alan the toastmaster was fabulous he made sure that everyone was where they should be and arranged people for the requested group photographs.
All the guests commented on how lovely Alan was and helped throughout the day. All the staff were efficient and nothing was an issue they were also fabulous. I cannot recommend Tylney Hall for your special day enough they made our day amazing and we cannot thank them enough.

We have already filled out a questionnaire for Mark Robinson which highlighted half a dozen people who we thought were exceptional including Mrs L Strong (Receptionist lady), Mr Maye (Porter) and Artis (Events person who oversaw the Newnham Suite set up and change over)

We came down for drinks in the lounge on the Saturday night after our wedding
(8pm) and also on the Sunday evening after our dinner in the Oak Room (9pm) and were pleasantly surprised to see that they had reserved the seating area in front of the fireplace in the lounge. This was a really nice touch.

Comments: We were very well looked after from the start of planning our wedding with Garry Sampson our Event Co-ordinator right through to when we left the Hotel the Monday after the wedding. The staff were all very helpful and did everything they could to make our day very special, except the weather! Oh well you can't have it all I suppose! The food was excellent, even though my bride and I didn't get time for the canopes or evening buffet.
The Toastmaster Alan was fantastic too. All our family and friends said that it was a very special day made even more so by the wonderful venue and helpful staff. Thank you everyone at Tylney Hall for making it so special and we'll be back in the coming years I hope to celebrate our anniversaries.

Garry Sampson was brilliant throughout the whole of the wedding planning process, made us feel extremely welcome and like we had known him for years.
Alan Coxhead the toastmaster was legendary, he was professional, funny, welcoming, calming, he added to our day and helped make it perfect. We can't thank Alan enough.
The hotel is the perfect venue, the staff are all lovely. Very attentive and no request was too much.
The food was delicious, all our guests complimented on how perfect it was.
The 3rd party suppliers were all brilliant, especially Tina Sir from Cookie Creations, she really took on board what we wanted. And developed the idea, the cake had quite an impact and it is still being mentioned.
The ladies working in the spa treatment area were fantastic, very relaxing and friendly, Donna was brilliant!
We are looking forward to our next stay at Tylney Hall Hotel.

your staff; Andy & I popped
in to see the wedding breakfast room set up and managed to run over the
sequence of events with the master of ceremonies, Ben I think he was called,
who was very accommodating. The wedding was blissful in the fantastic
surroundings of the grounds and the wedding breakfast ran so smoothly. Our
Family only come together on rare occasions now as we are spread all over the
world now and we spent a wonderful time together.

Comments: Everything about the service we received from Tylney for our wedding was absolutely first class, from our initial phone call with Garry Sampson, through all the preparations and meetings, the suppliers Tylney recommended (eg Alistair Jones for our photographs and Moutan for our flowers), to the wedding day itself and beyond. We have no idea at all how everything runs so smoothly and professionally - it really is exceptional. As an example, the day before the wedding we drove into your car park to drop off some boxes of decorations for our evening reception the following night, and as we parked our car one of your team appeared at the side of the car and said "you've come to drop off some items for your wedding tomorrow" - how did he know who we were and what we were doing? To our knowledge we'd never met him before - unbelievable! Exactly the same happened to my parents the day before our wedding when they came to you to drop off our wedding cake. Every single member of staff on the day before our wedding, the wedding day itself and the day after seemed to know exactly who we were and who all our guests were and always pre-empted all our needs.

Another example is that when Steve (the groom) went for an early morning swim in the outdoor pool the morning after our wedding, and I was sitting on one of the loungers by the pool, one of your team walked past the pool, clearly delivering breakfast to someone's room in the courtyard, and said to us "Congratulations!" - he was definitely not one of the team who had been on duty at our wedding, but he still knew who we were! Every member of staff we came into contact with was friendly, polite and professional. We were talking about the service we received only this afternoon and we summed it up by saying that we didn't feel we'd gone and stayed in a hotel, we felt we'd been welcomed into your Tylney 'home'.
Everything, and we mean everything, at Tylney is superb - the service, the food and beverages, the accommodation, the function rooms, the grounds, the atmosphere, your list of preferred suppliers, just everything. Whilst all members of the team are excellent, we would like to specifically mention Garry Sampson and Laura Sharpe, who were outstanding and we're sure made our very special day the success it was. We can't thank you all enough - we would love to have our day all over again, and we wouldn't change a thing. Thank you.

The level of professionalism shown by all members of the Tylney Hall team ensured that planning for our special event was every bit as productive and as stress-free as we could have wished. In particular, in our initial meeting with Garry Sampson was able to explain the various stages of registering for our civil partnership very clearly and made all manner of helpful suggestions as to things we could think about; Debbie Hine could not have been more helpful and courteous in every single e-mail we exchanged and in our planning meetings, being happy to amend any detail as we discussed practicalities and offering many very helpful suggestions; and Ben did a wonderful job on the day itself overseeing all the arrangements, making sure everything ran to time, keeping us informed of how things were progressing and considering our ideas. In short, Tylney Hall proved to be the perfect venue for our special
day: the magical setting combined with the experience and open-mindedness of the staff meant that the programme reflected our personal tastes perfectly, with the occasion enjoyed thoroughly by ourselves and our guests.

had a BBQ for our reception food and all the food was
exceptional. The spicy prawns were the best i've ever eaten. To be honest the
evening buffet i didnt get to eat as i was dancing the night away & talking
too much. But i have spoken to my guests & they all have said it was all good
quality food. I would like to mention Ben Whale & Arthur who were beyond
excellent. Me & my husband never wanted for anything, they were so
accomodating & attentive. I once mentioned to my husband that i fancied
another glass of wine & just as i had finished the sentence a glass appeared
in front of me. I mentioned to Arthur i fancied a glass of Pimms, i wandered
off & he came & found me with my Pimms. Their service was beyond anything
i've ever had. I really cant thank them enough. They made my day go so
smoothly it really was a perfect day.

were patient, offering advice when asked and finding out answers to our many questions. I am sure that the chefs where delighted when we eventually made our choices having sampled many dishes.

Your front of house team, on the day, were superb. I can, without exception, say that it was a joy to have all of them with us. Service really was with a smile and I know how much our enjoyment of the day was down to their efficient manner and pleasant attitude. Nothing was too much trouble for them and nothing was forgotten.

We thoroughly enjoyed the "Tylney Experience" and were blessesd with lovely weather.

Olivia and Richard stayed two nights before leaving for their honeymoon last Monday and I know that they should also like me to thank the management team and staff at Tylney for making their stay so enjoyable.

the wonderful staff at Tylney Hall. All of the staff were more than happy to help and my only regret of the day is that I didn't have the time to thank them personally. The food was sublime, and many of our guests went for second or third helpings at the Barbecue. When we retired for the evening to your Duchess Suite, the documents we had left at Reception had been kindly placed in the lounge area and our bed had been dusted with rose petals - the little details that made our stay so memorable for us.

We had an amazing time, and all of our guests have expressed a desire to come back and enjoy the high life once more. I will certainly be recommending yourselves in future, and wish you all the best for the future.

treatments, etc etc! In particular, Ms Schubert who remembered I had my heart set on the 'Duchess Suite' and contacted me immediately when the previous booking cancelled!
The beauticians from the spa (Emma, and ? sorry!) who came to my room the morning of the wedding were wonderful and made everyone look fab!
In fact, I think I could list pretty much all the staff I had contact with the maitre dee of the reservation, the gentleman who looked after our top table during the wedding breakfast, and the night manager Darren (might not have his name right) who lent us the book on the history of Tylney Hall
The venue is kept to a superb standard and it really made our wedding. We've already booked to come back for our first anniversary!
The only tiniest comment I would have is that the ladies toilets ran out of toilet tissue on the evening and our breakfast the next morning was lost (but in fact it meant we got to eat in peace after everyone else had left!)
We had an absolutely amaxing day and it could not have gone any better - thank you!!

centre of the table, and not just thrown on, he also presented us with personalised matches to light candles that were in the flower arrangements on the main table for my parents who are no longer with us. Charlie did a great job at the bar too. We booked 7 rooms for all the guests to stay in and they were blown away by the whole experience. All the rooms are excellent from the standard rooms to the luxury of the Duke and Duchess Suites. The staff go that extra mile to ensure your stay is great. We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who loves luxury.
