We spent quite a few visits looking around various venues in the West Midlands and settled upon Walton Hall the moment we saw it. We absolutely loved the eloquence and grandness of the Hall itself, the beautiful views across the lake and that all of …

From our experiences of attending other weddings, having to travel away from the venue at the end of the night means that some guests would leave earlier or not enjoy the event as much as they could. Also the Hall afforded us the luxury of being able to invite all of our guest list (120 people) in just one room, and what a room the Moncrieffe is. The Moncrieffe Room with the tall windows and chandeliers look amazing but when filled with tables it looks stunning. The stained-glass window by the entrance into the Hall is also breath-taking, as is the view down the line of trees to the bridge over the lake in either direction.
The welcome we got from the Wedding Coordinator, Kirsty Westmacott, was just brilliant and we knew that this was a venue that was both very used to running weddings and also very good at it. Kirsty was excellent at running us through planning our day and was a really useful source of information regarding how to discuss things with our suppliers or organising how the day might proceed. Obviously we hadn't organised a wedding before so it was a massive plus to have a dedicated wedding coordinator to guide us through and made planning our wedding so much less stressful. Our wedding was arranged pre-pandemic and as the day got closer, the death toll increased and regulations regarding weddings changed so significantly. We were excellently looked after by Kirsty and Cristina Tataran in this difficult and emotional phase for which we will always be thankful.
We were all set to go for our wedding for 120 guests in March 2.

Walton hall ticked these boxes as numerous rooms and could accommodate a large or small gathering and different room options, we wanted a more traditional look with my must have of chandeliers and we got just that. We also wanted somewhere that looked great inside and out due to the weather in October being unpredictable. As luck would have it, we did have rain but due to the beautiful setting we were still able to get lots of lovely photos and the rain did not dampen the day.
We went for an all inclusive wedding package and was not disappointed the food throughout was fantastic and plenty of it, everyone loved the menu we had chosen from a great list of options and had such fun on a taster night trying out the menu options which was included in the package.
The day ran smooth into the night with staff coordinated, we just left it all to them and never felt rushed or pressured just really enjoyed our day.
The next morning as about 80 friends and family stayed in rooms at the hotel, everyone came to a large family breakfast in the same room we got married in which was lovely to catch up and talk all about the wedding, it really was the most amazing wedding. We wish we could do it all again we enjoyed it so much and could not have wished for a more perfect place.
