Woodland at Wroxeter is an enclosed section of the hotel’s grounds encircled by trees and incorporating our rustic ceremony site along with three giant tipis.
With wood chip ground cover and seating for your guests, the site is entered through our rustic walkway. Cherry blossom, bluebells and Spring bulbs abound early in the year, with wild flowers throughout the summer months. During September and October theming is autumnal with cut straw and an Oktoberfest feel.
Whilst in November and December the walkway and aisle are transformed into our enchanted Winter Woodland with plenty of sparkles and festive cheer!
For the colder months and as back up in case of rain, our handcrafted yurt is yet another ceremony option with mobility access for all.
Designed for all seasons, our three giant Kata tipis complete with fairy lights, furniture and bar are situated next to the ceremony area and available for canapés, cocktails and your wedding breakfast.
Woodland at Wroxeter is the perfect option for couples looking for a woodland wedding which will not be a disaster if it rains, is accessible for guests with reduced mobility and offers a cost effective tented day.
Barn & Festival Weddings is an award winning partnership between Wroxeter Weddings and Morrells Wood Farm near Leighton, Shropshire.
Open sided during the summer and closed in the winter with roaring log fires, the Barns are just perfect for weddings throughout the year allowing you to make the most of the British countryside and bring the delights of any season straight into your wedding.
Our Events Field is a popular option for tented weddings with the added bonus that the Wedding Barns and covered space is included for backup and support. Any festival wedding needs campers and this too is included for guests with our festival options!
Whether you choose barn or festival, all of our packages include ceremony setup in the Stables or on our new Woodland Overlook outdoor platform. If a church wedding is your big dream, we have an abundance of gorgeous country churches nearby and enjoy a close working relationship with our local deanery.
The Wroxeter is a Georgian country house with many unique and original features along with some modern twists and fabulous outdoor spaces.
With several function rooms within the house as well as outdoor options for your ceremony and drinks reception, you can choose which spaces you use for which parts of the day.
Our grounds are simply stunning with views across open countryside and great photographic backdrops whatever the weather or time of year.
