Just over the stately River Thames from Maidenhead, Taplow is perhaps most well known for nearby Cliveden, the spectacular stately home of the American heiress and MP Nancy Astor, which is now run by the National Trust. The area is big on preserving its history, and both the village and the riverside are conservation areas. A very traditional and charming English village, Taplow has a village green surrounded by red brick homes, an attractive church, and a quintessential village pub.

Taplow’s rather grand Victorian rail station serves London with regular, fast train service, placing it just 35 minutes away for London guests. Just off the M4, Taplow is also very convenient for guests driving from anywhere in the country.
