Following Jason’s Christmas morning proposal, Vikki and Jason carried out a classy affair at the DoubleTree by Hilton Leeds for their August nuptials. Having previously celebrated the bride’s 30th birthday at the lovely location, the couple knew instantly that they’d already found their dream wedding venue.

Going for ultimate elegance, the day was dotted with hints of pink and yellow to complement the classic black tie attire. Surrounded by breathtaking views overlooking the canal and city beyond, the pair said their I do’s in the Sky Lounge joined by loving friends and family. The Beginning

“My friend is married to Jason’s brother.”

The Proposal

“It was Christmas day morning at my mum’s house, he got down on one knee and asked if I would marry him. Obviously, I said yes!”

The Venue 

“After spending a weekend at the DoubleTree for my 30th birthday we both knew instantly this was where we wanted to get married.

The hotel itself is beautiful and very elegant that alone ahead the wow factor. The fact it overlooks the canal was a massive plus for us to wow our guests. The staff at the DoubleTree are very polite and friendly but also very high class and we knew our guests would feel just as special as we did.”

The Photographer

“Our wedding photographer was a close family friend. We found it very relaxing having a family friend take pictures instead of a stranger who we had never met.”

“My theme was to have the elegant but wow factor. Clevey venue styling dresses up the venue and did an amazing job!! I could not of wishes for it to be any better!”

The Attire

“The look we were going for was classy, smart and a little traditional. The men had black tuxedos. As the bride, I wanted a classy traditional dress with beige and white bridesmaids to complement the look.”

Memorable Moments

“The whole day and night was just simply amazing, better than I could have ever imagined. If I had to pick, I really enjoyed the ceremony in the sky lounge, the view was just incredible. The food at the wedding breakfast was beautiful, the wedding guests still talk about it to this day!!”
