Every once in a while there is a dress that is so stunning, it actually makes our heart ache a little. You know what we’re talking about. You’re scrolling through your Facebook feed or Pinterest and…. BAM! Amazing wedding dress. Suddenly, we’re hearing the operatic voices of Il Divo and we’re picturing us spinning in a ballroom. Ah we’re in heaven!
That exact thing happened to us today when doing our regular morning scrolls. But, we were rocked into reality when we realized that none of us are actually getting married.
Justin Alexander’s 2014 collection transforms brides in to stunning modern Hollywood sirens with inspiration from a classic fashion period of the 1940s and 50s. The collection explores new silhouettes and textures including tulle tiered ball gowns, sultry delicate lace mermaids, elegant silk chiffon A-lines and flirty peplums.
Illusion necklines are HUGE for 2014 and that can definitely be seen in Justin’s designs. We love this as a pretty alternative to the long exhausted strapless trend and we just want to scream with joy when we see so many super fitted waistlines (and ribbons!).
Here are a few tasters to get you started, but you can find so many more on the Justin Alexander website.
