It’s probably an idea we all dream about at some stage, the destination wedding! But for those of us who have decided to make this dream a reality, destination weddings can be a challenge. If you’re looking to plan a dream wedding abroad, here are some basic tips to steer you in the right direction.
Do Your Research
This means scouting out your area, figuring out when the tourist season kicks in and of course, picking your perfect spot. More than likely, if you’re having a destination wedding, it’s a place you already know like the back of your hand and love but, will they have all the wedding supplies you need? Think about florists, Make up Artists and other suppliers you will need on site for your day.
Law
Sounds fun right? Nope, it really doesn’t! But, it is a very important aspect of your marriage. Some countries have different requirements in order to get married there so avoid disappointment and research the details online beforehand.
Guests
We all know destination weddings can be expensive for both guests and the couple so make sure you let your bridal party know it’s a destination wedding before asking them. And don’t be offended if some guests won’t attend. Guest’s expenses can add up quickly without having the added extras of flights on top of that.
