Recycle That Bouquet

Your once beautiful bouquet doesn’t need to wither in vain after your big day. Most flowers have beautiful natural colourants that can be re-used to dye your thank you cards! This great tutorial was found courtesy of Design Sponge and shows you how to get the most out of res-using your flowers. Simply fill a tray with warm water adding some alum as you go adding in your used petals…. Brilliant! And it will match your colour palette!

DIY Stamps

We’ve mentioned before our intense love of DIY rubber stamps. The range that can be found on Etsy is just incredible! We love the speed and simplicity of pretty stamps as well, something like a monogramed stamp can last forever!

For those a little more on the creative side, we’ve found a great tutorial on making your own rubber stamp. All you need is an eraser, stamp pad, scalpel (which can be bought at your local crafts shop), a v-tool for carving and of course a card for stamping.

Be careful when carving; always place your hands behind your carving knife to avoid cutting yourself!

Tea Stain

Another easy and fun addition to DIY stationery is tea or coffee stains. This is a fairly easy and straight forward way of personalizing your cards as well as making them more individual looking. Hot and strong coffee will give the best colours and getting creative with ombre tips or splashing is today up to you! Textured paper is always a beautiful option as it can gives the grooves of the page a lot of depth.
