Often venues charge a substantial premium for the privilege of having the whole hotel enjoyed solely by the wedding party. Friendly and welcoming, elegant features of the venue that you will adore include a cantilever sweeping staircase, with William Morris-styled stained-glass window; beautiful, light-filled tiled entrance hall; sumptuous, cream-coloured sitting room with crystal chandeliers and an ornate fireplace housing an open fire, a snug ‘Library’ bar area, two beautifully-appointed restaurants and The Ballroom. Full of natural light, The Ballroom is a magnificent space for your reception – with French windows onto the gardens, and ornate gilt mirrors and its own private bar, which accommodates up to 120 guests (evening reception and 100 for day).
Some bedrooms feature four-poster bed and roll top baths for a romantic first night and guests are spoilt for choice with a selection of bedrooms and suites in the main Hall, as well as The Shooting Lodge, only a stroll away from the main event.
With a two AA rosette rating in the restaurant, a choice of wedding menus has been lovingly created, with style and taste in mind, and featuring locally-sourced produce.
