Subtle pink hues and sparkling gold details. We know every bride-to-be is going to fall head over heels for Tom and Jade’s stylish wedding! Celebrating at the romantic Walton Hotel, Jade’s soft bridal make up and whimsical wedding gown complemented the chic setting perfectly. With love and laughter in the air, the newlyweds were blessed with fabulous weather on the day – making the venue’s sprawling grounds the ideal backdrop for an impromptu game of cricket – after all, lads will be lads!
The Beginning…
“We met at Apre’s in December 2013. I was out with my school on a Christmas party, and Jade was on a night out with her sister. We met through our mutual friend Tiago, and just ended up sitting by each other on a bench. We got talking, but I didn’t ask for her number as I didn’t think she would be interested. Two months later I added her on Facebook as we were both set to go out with Tiago again. And from that night, the rest as they say is history.”
THe Proposal…
“I took Jade to somewhere I knew we both loved and found magical – New York City! Arriving on the 14th of February, I waited until the 16th to reveal the big surprise. After exploring the National History Museum by day, I had organised a stunning new dress to await Jade in our room. We hit the town for the evening showing of Wicked on Broadway. Following the show, I organised a taxi to bring us to the Brooklyn Bridge Promenade – the perfect setting of the bridge and twinkling city skyline in the backdrop. It was at this quiet snowy scene I decided to pop the question.”
On the Venue…
“St Alphege Church is my boyhood school and has personal sentiment as it is where my mom and dad also got married. It is also one of the most impressive, grand traditional church settings around. We wanted a traditional English setting for our wedding reception and Walton Hall was the only place that offered everything we had always dreamed of. Its grand yet subtle setting was perfect for what we had always imagined, from the gardens in the sun to the fact we could reserve all the manor rooms for our guests to stay the evening.”
“The amazing winding driveway leading to the manor house was a huge wow factor – it really impressed us on arrival. The Moncrief reception room was the most incredible wedding breakfast setting and afterwards, we even managed to play some cricket in the sunset before the celebrations continued into the evening.”
On the photographer…
“Amber and Katie of Prestige Photography were lovely and made everyone feel at ease throughout the day. Everything was very well planned and timed, banishing all our worried and allowing us to relax and enjoy the celebrations. We met with Amber and Katie ahead of our wedding to ensure everything was to our taste and so we knew exactly what to expect on the day itself.”
Special Moments
“The most memorable part of the day for me was seeing my beautiful wife-to-be appear beside me in the church. Jade looked beautiful walking down the aisle towards me and kissing each other at the altar was very special for us. Seeing our plans come to fruition at the reception was massive as we knew it would look good, but nothing could prepare for how overwhelming the venue looked in the sun with everything laid out to perfection.”
