Veil

So, the wedding dress is bought and it really makes you feel gorgeous but, have you decided on a veil?

Wearing a bridal veil is becoming more and more of a trend these days. Celebrities like Jennifer Anniston, Kate Moss and Kate Middleton showing their love for veils recently. So we had to put it to a vote, will you be wearing a veil to your wedding?

From Ireland and UK, all the way over to New Zealand you voted. 34% of you agreed that it was a nice tradition with a close 31% having not decided yet. Only 15% thought it was ‘a bit dated’ which can only mean one thing… the veil is back!

This history behind the wedding veil stems back to the superstition of not seeing the bride before the wedding. This was during a time of arranged marriages where the groom may not have even met the bride before the big day.

These days, bridal veils signify chic, elegance and sometimes a touch of vintage depending on the style. Just like matching any outfit, a veil can be a beautiful addition to your wedding dress.
