We have a treat for you today! An adorable real wedding at Best Western Lion Hotel, Nottinghamshire. Kelly and John Harrison were married on a crisp November day in 2013. The couple mentioned that they fell in love with Best Western Lion Hotel ‘after visiting the hotel on many occasions,’ and loved the ‘personality of the hotel and the staff’ as well as the ‘level of service we have always received.’
Kelly and John were planning their wedding for a year mentioning ‘we did enjoy it but it was a stressful time. Gemma at the hotel made it a lot easier for us though and was always to hand when we needed advice and regularly checked in with us and aided us in all aspects.’
When it came to the food, Kelly mentioned that it was ‘sublime!’ telling us the ‘food was out of the world, they even made our favourite desert – which wasn’t on any of the menus.’
Kelly and John’s theme was simple but elegant as with Kelly’s dress. ‘It wasn’t the “traditional” dress of sorts, but handmade and made of silk. And absolutely gorgeous… I want to frame it but John won’t let me!’
Walking down the aisle was Kelly’s favourite part of the day (‘seeing my husband’s face’) but mentions she couldn’t pick just one part of the day to relive – ‘the whole day was perfect!’
