When it comes to weddings, there are usually one or two aspects that a couple will want to invest the majority of their money on. Personally, I have always thought that photography is so key to a wedding (I’m a pretty big décor fan too!). If I could get Annie Leibovitz to photograph my big day, I would wear a trash bag to my wedding. But I bet Annie would make me look good anyway!
Photography is so important for many reasons, the big one being that it is a lasting record of your wedding day. Long after you taken your vows, your wedding photos will literally capture one of the biggest days of your life. That’s a lot of pressure for the person photographing your day! Not to worry though, if a wedding photographer has been in the business long enough, they will know how to capture your day perfectly. Wedding photographers are also a wealth of knowledge when it comes to giving you tips on posing. Check out this awesome infographic via Objektiv on perfectly captured weddings.
Once you’ve done your research for the best wedding photographer out there, it’s time to start filing down that list! Make sure to ask your potential photographer these questions:
How long have you been photographing weddings?
How many weddings have you done?
Do you have any references?
How much is overtime?
Do you have an assistant?
Do you take a break when our party eats?
Have you been to our reception/ceremony venues before?
Are engagement shoots included in the package?
How much is a wedding album?
