It must have been love…
Bec and Callum’s love story is one that makes our hearts glow! After meeting at a music festival, their first date went from breakfast to lunch and to dinner all in the same day! After ten years together Callum proposed to Bec during a relaxed picnic at the gorgeous the Gold Coast Hinterland and the pair tied the knot in a stunning glass chapel ceremony that complimented their classic and minimalist theme.
Don’t miss Bec and Callum’s breathtaking ceremony and the bride’s stunning mermaid style gown…
The Beginning
“Callum and I met about ten years ago at a music festival. Our first date started off as breakfast and then we enjoyed each other’s company so much that we ended up having lunch and then dinner together.”
The Proposal
“SUPER relaxed. We had a picnic in the gorgeous Gold Coast hinterland and at the very end of the day he proposed.”
The Dress
“I had always had my heart set on a mermaid gown. It fit perfectly and I felt amazing in it. After searching all over the coast and in Brisbane for the perfect dress I had made a trip to Sydney to find something. That trip was unsuccessful and so I made another trip to Melbourne in my search (a task which felt like it was never going to end)! I visited both boutiques (Brunswick and Armadale) and I realised that I had gone from not being able to find anything I liked to having too many choices.
I finally decided on the gown about 2 hours before my flight left. I didn’t have enough time to purchase the gown then and there so the ladies quickly took my measurements and took down the details of the dress and I called them on the Monday to order it. I even ordered additional tulle and lace so that we could customise it (aka – the sleeves) and lacing detail on the décolletage.”
The Venue
“We live nearby and loved the area. The glass chapel sealed the deal for us, oh, and did I mention the food there is AMAZING! All of the staff were incredible and couldn’t do enough to help.”
Memorable Moments
“I don’t think we can name just one. I think we were both just happy once we were at the altar. We were incredibly lucky that everything went according to plan (well not everything… the boys had to “iron out” their suits that morning but thought it was best to keep it from me until we were on our honeymoon!) I guess the best part was having all of our closest friends and family with us on our big day.”
Bridal Advice
“RELAX! Just enjoy the day. Don’t let little things get to you in the lead up or on the morning of. At the end of the day, if you are married that’s all that matters.”
