Hayley and Chris exchanged vows in a charming little church in Northwich. It was a quintessentially English affair, with a pretty and delicate colour palette to match the beautiful Cheshire countryside which oozes in character. Their special day was really relaxed with a pinch of excitement in the air as they made their way to the BEST WESTERN Forest Hills Hotel to celebrate with family and friends. The happy couple told their lovely photographer Vickie of Free Spirit Photography about their romantic love story.
The Love Story
“The first time we met was at a pub called The Mackintosh in Cardiff while we were at uni, but we didn’t become a couple for another year after that. I lived in a shared house with three others and a room became available. Chris was friends with my housemate Pete (who ended up being our Best Man) and was offered the room. We became close during dissertation time when we would stay up all night keeping each other company. Chris says that he knew he wanted to be with me the first time we met – he even remembers what I was wearing that day! I don’t know why I fell for Chris or when really but I knew straight away that there was a special connection between us that I had never felt before.”
The Proposal
“Two days before Christmas Day, Chris took me to the Winter Wonderland in Cardiff, but there had been really heavy rain and strong winds that day so it was closed. He then took me to Cardiff Bay where we live and we went for a walk by the Marina. As we were walking across the marina bridge it was raining and Chris got down on one knee and proposed!”
The Venue
“I had been to a wedding at the BEST WESTERN Forest Hills Hotel before. We loved the Overton Suite and the panoramic views. I think that’s what did it for us. It also catered for all our family and friends who were travelling for our wedding. The hotel has plenty of rooms for accommodation options.”
A huge thank you to Hayley and Chris for sharing their gorgeous wedding with us and also to Vickie of Free Spirit Photography who captured every moment of their special day. See more of her portfolio at www.freespiritphotography.co.uk
