The first thing that stood out to us when we saw Jessica and Edd’s wedding was how timeless it really is. They married in 2013, but this wedding could easily fit into any decade. This may be because of the art and culture at Manchester Art Gallery that surrounded their day, which made this wedding exude a classic, city chic tone. Also, the warmth, love and friendship in the couple’s eyes and of their loved ones is just adorable! How happy do Jessica and Edd look?! It’s pretty easy to see they love each other deeply and are true companions. We predict a wonderful future for this wonderful couple!
Take a little peek into this delightful couple’s day through bride Jessica’s eyes. We are positive that you will fall in love with it too…
“We met in Manchester and it was an easy location for most of our friends and family, so we decided on the city first of all. The Gallery was an obvious next step! It’s full of fantastic spaces for guests to chat, the staff are so helpful and an important consideration in Manchester… it’s rainproof!”
“I wasn’t going to go for a traditional dress to start with, but after deciding on different coloured dresses for my bridesmaids from the wonderful Fab Frocks boutique in Westbourne, I decided to give white a go as it would fit with the three colours the girls were wearing. I found a few dresses with back details that appealed and in the end I’m really glad I went for something traditional that still had a twist. It felt bridal but modern and really suited me and our day.”
“We didn’t have a clear set theme for the day. Just friends and family having a great time. We had a rough idea about styles for flowers, and I loved Anna’s style of photography from the start, but we were pretty relaxed about everything and delegated a lot to family and friends who were amazing in their enthusiasm.”
“It’s impossible to decide what my favourite photo was – we were so lucky to have Anna as our photographer! She has an incredible knack for getting to know people’s personalities really quickly, so that she captures the moment just as it happens and really captures the character of her subjects. We’ve got a beautiful collection of images that are genuine portraits of our friends and families enjoying themselves which is exactly what we wanted.”
“If I could give future couples advice, I would say do some research, find suppliers who fit with what you like (or find a friend who’s willing and able!), and then trust them to do their jobs. We had a vague idea of what to expect, but weren’t overly prescriptive, so we ended up with a day packed with wonderful surprises!”
