We love it when a photographer captures emotional shots and touching gestures at a wedding. And this special day was full of them…
Katherine and Chris exchanged vows on October 30th 2015 in a heartfelt ceremony at Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception & St Joseph Church. Over six years after they first met, this lovely pair finally got to celebrate their marriage with their two girls Charlotte and Lily at the Clayton Crown Hotel in London. Finally their little family was complete.
Their proposal was one of the most romantic and traditional stories we have heard in quite a while. Chris wrote Katherine a letter and left it on the table for her. As she began reading, he came downstairs and was waiting on one knee to ask for her hand in marriage.
“Louise from LilyFerne Photography understood where I was coming from and she knew exactly what I wanted from my wedding and photos. I also liked the style of her photography and the way she conducted herself during our meetings. I was very confident about my photographer and her ability.”
“We loved the beauty of the Clayton Crown Hotel. The minute you walk in, it is outstanding. Also the good size of the Bentley Room, it offered everything we were looking for in a wedding venue.”
Katherine looked stunning in a long-sleeve lace-embroidered gown. Thankfully after an unfortunate mishap, she walked up the aisle wearing her dream dress and enjoyed every minute of their magical day.
“My dress started off well, I found my it quite quickly. We had to put down half the deposit on my dress and we believed the order had been placed with the designer to begin making. Unfortunately, in the six months it took to make my dress, the shop went bankrupt and had never paid the designer. The designer stopped making my dress and neither notified me of what was happening. I tried to get in touch with the shop owner but that wasn’t possible and after weeks of not knowing if I was going to have my dress or not, I finally got in touch with the designer and was able to pay him directly. He finished my dress just in time and I ended up wearing my perfect dress – the one I had chosen.”
A huge thank you to Katherine and Chris for sharing their special day with us and to Louise Cain of LilyFerne Photography for allowing us to publish these beautiful shots. You can see more of her work at www.lilyfernephotography.co.uk
