Coloured engagement rings are eye-catching and ideal for a bride who always like to have something a little different to the rest. With various stones and jewels to choose from such as rubies, emeralds, and sapphires the choices are endless! In the past few years coloured engagement rings have become more and more popular, as to why I am not exactly sure. Perhaps it may be the fact these precious stones are often quite a bit less expensive than a diamond ring, but in saying that they can cost just as much if not more, if you are to choose a ring featuring a coloured stone surrounded by high carat diamonds. We have all seen Kate Middleton’s sapphire and diamond rock, this is sure to have cost a pretty penny! I’m sure Kate’s stunning ring has had a lot to do with the increase in popularity to the coloured engagement ring.
Not every bride is going to like the look of a coloured ring, so potential grooms I would suggest you don’t propose to your gal with one unless you are certain that she will love it! You would really want to love the particular colour or stone that you chose, you are going to be wearing it every day of course! And you will have to be willing to deal with the fact that it might not match every outfit you own… So that brings me to the conclusion of, is a traditional clear diamond engagement ring the best choice? Or should we dare to be different to the rest of the pack and add some colour? I think if I were a potential bride to be I would be hoping for the traditional choice.. You can always play around with the style and cut of the stunning clear diamond ring! Let us know what you think!
