It’s a known fact, we like something that can kill two birds with one stone. Maybe it’s because we’ve become so used to having a lot of things literally at a hand’s reach or it might be because it seems the older we get, the busier we get. Either way, if we can spend time on something we enjoy and reap double the benefits – it’s very hard to say no!
You might find this to be especially true when you’re planning a wedding. Following up on emails during our bus commutes, pinning during lunch or booking appointments later in the evening is definitely a time saver but we wouldn’t deem it to be ‘fun’ as such.
That’s why we have come up with some date night ideas that may also help plan your wedding. Not only does this mean guilt free leisure time but you may even find a new hobby.
Dance Lessons
Whether or not you have two left feet, taking a few dance lessons is a benefit to pretty much anyone who plans on bustin’ a move in front of a large group. Test your skills, find out how you move together and maybe even learn something about the dynamics of your relationship with a private or small group lesson coming up to your wedding.
Have a Spa Day
Unwind with a couple spa day. It may not seem like priority as you plan your wedding but being in the best physical and mental state before you tie the knot is just as important as making sure you have finalized your seating plan!
Check out Local Hot Spots Near Your Wedding Venue
Again, might sound a little strange, but your out-of-towners will be grateful for knowing where the best places to eat, shop or soak up culture. You may know where a lot of these places are already or you may have forgotten – but there is certainly no harm in rediscovering!
DIY Night
Not every date can include expensive spa treatments and dinners (you are budgeting after all!) so why not work on a project together? Whether it’s sending off all your invites or some DIY décor ideas, there are endless options. Take it up a notch and make game out of it – the person who can lick the most envelopes in a minute wins!
