Winter can be a busy time for us ladies and if you also happen to be working, Christmas shopping and planning a wedding; you may find that you’ve less and less time to keep up with you’re daily routines (it takes a little time to look this pretty). But, with a little practice, it’s possible get your make up routine down to five minutes or less (we swear!).
The Five Minute Morning Make-up Look For The Busy Bride
- 00.00- 00:30 – Make sure you’ve got a fresh face. A quick splash of cool water and maybe some wipe will do the trick.
- 00.30 – 01:30 – Starting with your foundation, liberally spread it across your face taking a stippling brush to quickly blend and work into your face.
- 01:30 – 02:00 – Letting your foundation set, re-apply your under eyes if needed. Add some light pink blush for some extra colour.
- 02:00 – 02:30 – Apply a light brown shadow with a large fluffy blending brush focusing on your brow bone for contouring.
- 02:30- 03:00 – For a little more definition, add some eyeliner to your eyes. If you haven’t quite mastered the perfect liquid look, add a dark brown pencil, bending out with a smaller blending brush.
- 03:00 – 04:00 – Mascara time! This is usually a tricky one for most ladies but the trick is to take your time and focus on the root of your lashes. Slowly comb through your lashes without pausing on the tips.
- 04:00 – 05:00 Lightly dust up with powder and finishing spray. If you haven’t a spray to hand, a little hairspray can work in a pinch (emergencies cases only!).
For hair, save yourself a few minutes by plaiting it in thick pig tails the night before. Unravel gently and for a vintage wave look, lightly brush out your hair.
- Bonus Minute: Give your make-up look a more edgy appeal with a dark lippie, lightly smudge the colour in for a soft appeal or, for a dramatic appeal, go for a full application.
