Fishtail braids are so cute and versatile for day to night wear. Perfect for bridemaids hairdos, fishtail braids are also great for honeymoons. Braid on with this very easy how to on fishtail braids:
Step One
Gather your hair into a ponytail and secure it with a band. You can either cut the elastic band loose later or wrap it up with hair when you’re finished.
Step Two
Divide your hair pony tail into two equal parts. Take a small piece from one side and pass that piece to the other side (it doesn’t matter which side you start with). Next, take a small piece from the outside of side two and pass it the first side. Continue on down your hair. Once you pass a piece over, you can forget about it and let it become of the side its on.
To keep the braid tight, every so often, take the first and second side and pull them away from each other. This will help give the braid structure.
Step Three
Once you’ve finished your fishtail braid, secure it with another band. For a looser braid, gently pull the braid apart, helping to separate the pieces, loosening the braid. For a sleeker, make sure to brush your hair first, keeping the braid as tight as possible.
