Wedding planning can come with it’s stresses. We bet if you haven’t dealt with these, you will soon! Here are some issues every bride will face.
Picky Eaters
They don’t like onions, chicken, they’re on the Atkins or they’re avoiding carbs… Well tough! Just kidding, but truthfully, you can’t please everyone. Your best bet is to have two main options: one meat, one vegetarian. Consider a buffet if you have a family of picky eaters or if there will be a lot of different cultures attending your wedding.
Invitation Guilt
It’s your day and if you don’t really want them there, don’t feel guilted into inviting them. You may have gone to their wedding but that doesn’t mean you need to invite them. You don’t need to explain yourself or make excuses… it’s your day!
Who Will Pay For The Wedding?
Less and less parents foot the bill these days, but does that mean the couple now pays for the whole day? If not, who pays for what part? Not that long ago, rules were a lot more strict. The bride’s crew picked up the tab for the invites, gown, accessories, reception, photographer and transport. Seriously, what’s left for the groom? The honeymoon, marriage licence, officiant, bouquet and rehearsal dinner! These days, it’s just as acceptable to go 50/50.
Toasts
Have you ever been to a wedding where the Best Man makes a 20-minute slurred speech, filled with inappropriate jokes or comments airing out all your dirty laundry? Not fun! Have a wedding coordinator, master of ceremonies or bridal party member to deliver each speech. For your evening, give your DJ/band specific instructions that no guest should have the mic handed over to them at any stage.
