EVERYONE in this office is a massive Girls fan. And **spoiler alert** if you haven’t seen it but one of our favourite episodes has to be Jessa’s surprise wedding. We can’t imagine Jessa doing anything else other than a celebrity style big day and it was very cool to see Chris o’ Dowd too.
Hannah’s boho chic friend is always looks amazing in every episode (remember the giant feather coat thing at that rave?) and she didn’t disappoint here either!
Recreate The Wedding Look
A knee length off the shoulder sheath dress – we can’t say this is a surprise when it comes to Jessa’s character (her in a strapless white dress would just be weird). The dusty lilac colour teamed with a pop of electric blue in her shoes and a gorgeous floral crown really brings it all together. The netted veil and garter are really the only indication that she is a bride.
According to Open Ceremony, Costume Designer Jenn Rogien mentions that Jessa’s “wedding dress had to be something vintage that she would have hanging in her closet. The shoes were a nod to finding windfall with her new man. They were the most expensive shoes we bought all season. We did blue underwear as a nod to tradition; the garter was scripted for throwing at Marnie; and the veil is vintage gold mesh.”
