We have to admit, we love a lovely DIY element in a wedding. Nothing beats a personalised touch and when it comes to weddings, DIY just seems to add to your story together. As well as this, DIY can sometimes cut a few corners which is great if your budget is limited. While this is definitely true, DIY can be very pretty time consuming. Here are somethings a bride should never DIY.
Hair and Make-up
You may not feel it now, but your wedding morning will be without a doubt, full of hustle and bustle. You and a gaggle of women all getting ready at once? That sounds terrifying! Imagine trying to perfectly apply your eyeliner and curl your locks while your mom is frantically searching for her eyebrow pencil?
Flowers
Unless you come from a long line of successful florists, doing your own flowers will not be a good idea! Besides, there is no possible way you will be able to enjoy your day and transport your flowers to your venue. As well as this, sourcing your pieces will have to be done pretty close to the big day, and added stress you won’t need!!
Photography
Yes, we know, your cousin is REALLY good with a camera and even owns some hi-tech equipment. Unless your cousin is Annie Leibovitz, don’t ask a close friend or family member to do your wedding photography. For one, it’s not fair to ask a guest to take on the role of wedding photographer when they should be enjoying the day. Secondly, your wedding photos are the one lasting memory you will have of the day, so paying splashing out on a quality photographer is essential if you love photography.
