Valentine’s Day style tips for the husband to be, from tailoring company A Suit That Fits.
Valentine’s Day is almost upon us, and whatever you’re planning, you’ll want to look the part for your bride to be (what better excuse to dust off your most dapper suit!). Here is a little fail safe guide to impressing with her, with my top sartorial tips.
The three piece-suit
If you’re heading out straight from the office, a three-piece suit is sure to impress; and if you’re feeling daring, why not go for a double breasted number? This look is particularly appropriate if you’re off to the theatre, so wear yours with a pocket square and without a tie for a sharp smart/casual look.
The two piece lounge suit
Avoid wearing your every-day work suit, and if you don’t fancy a full suit go for separates; how about a double breasted blazer in a sharkskin cloth and chinos in electric blue or navy? A tuxedo jacket with skinny dark jeans, a roll neck and lace ups is always a winner.
A fun filled day out
If you’ve opted for a day out, you will go for a more casual look but still want to be dashing. Team a tailored blazer with dark jeans, a brightly coloured pocket square and some smart brogues. If it’s a bit chilly outside (which it probably will be) don’t forget to wrap up in your best overcoat too. And bring your umbrella!
