Besides choosing the wedding venue, food, decor etc, you as the bride must make a number of decisions to determine your own bridal look for your wedding day. You should decide whether or not you want to hire a professional make-up artist to do you and your bridesmaids make-up the morning of the wedding as early as you can. Most make-up artists are booked up months before a wedding, and don’t forget to add the cost to your wedding budget too!
Some things to remember when using a make-up artist:
- Before finalising a booking with your chosen make-up artist, schedule a trial run so that you can go through a number of various looks you might like. This will more than likely result in an additional cost but it will be a worthwhile investment.
- Take special care of your skin during the months before the wedding. You should be following a skincare regime. This is something your make-up artist can’t help you with, it’s up to you!
- Express your opinion. Tell them what colours you like/don’t like, what type of products you like to wear and what you think suits you. This will help him/her to find the perfect look for you.
- Make sure you are happy. If there is something you would like changed or adjusted make sure to express this. It will only take a few moments for them to make some changes, the most important thing is that you are happy!
Your wedding day only comes around once ladies, put your feet up and relax with the knowledge that your make-up will be taken care of by a professional! This will give you a chance to sit down (and breathe) on the morning of the wedding, sit back relax and enjoy a glass of champagne! Another benefit is that whatever it is they manage to do, make-up by a professional artist always seems to stay put the entire day and night! You won’t have to even think about touch-ups as you enjoy your wedding celebrations through the night.
