We have asked Menzies Irvine Hotel for a few insider tips on how to make the most of your wedding plans.
Claire Rodden, Wedding Planner at the gorgeous 4 star property mentions that there are so many popular trends at the moment. “Lace bridal gowns, a pink colour scheme, LED dance floors and candy carts are huge”, Claire mentioned. She added “my favourite would be the candy carts… I have a bit of a sweet tooth!”
When it comes to the ‘wow’ factor, Claire confesses that it is hard to find out what stands out but admits that hospitality comes first. “Friendliness of our staff at the hotel is important. Our couples always feel extremely welcome and leave feeling like they have not only married into each other’s families, but have become a part of the family within the hotel,” she said.
This sense of warmth definitely shows through when Claire explains what she and her team love most about weddings at Menzies Irvine Hotel. “I would have to say being part of a couple’s wedding journey, it’s such an important and special time of their lives and I get to be part of this in assisting them with planning their wedding. ”
Finally Claire mentions when it comes to seasonal weddings, she has a fondness for winter: “My personal preference is winter weddings. Many couples book summer weddings and pay extra for this in the hope of having a sunny day and are often let down by the weather. With winter weddings, couples aren’t expecting nice weather so if it’s a dry day it’s always a bonus. It can also be stunning if you get a light layer of snow, ideal for photographs!
