The invention that is fake tan, you either love it or you hate it. Most women either wear it religiously or else they don’t wear it at all, perhaps because the thought of it going wrong scares us to death at times!
One of the first things you should decide on when it comes to your bridal beauty look is whether or not you are going to wear fake tan on your wedding day. If you rarely wear tan you need not be nervous at the thought. Once you go to a professional salon for a trial before the wedding you shouldn’t have anything to worry about as you can make sure you are comfortable with the colour. A light spray tan a few days before your wedding will give you a light glow which will be complement your white wedding dress. The flash used by your photographer can often be a little draining in certain light so even a little fake tan should avoid this.
If you are a fake tanning pro then the decision will be a lot easier to make, what colour and what salon to choose? There are in fact some other tips you should take into consideration when preparing your skin to be sprayed in the run up to your big day…
- Go to a professional salon to get your tan done. No matter how many times you have applied your tan yourself, mistakes can be made. You certainly don’t want to be left with a fake tan disaster a few days before your wedding.
- Exfoliate every few days in the run up to your wedding. Soft and smooth skin is the key to achieving the perfect fake tan. This is something that is up to you so make sure to have your skin ready.
- Get the spray tan done at least 2 if not 3 days before your wedding. This gives it time to settle into your skin. You can always go back to the salon for a second spray if you feel you’d like a darker look.
If you are still undecided about wearing tan and don’t feel comfortable with the idea, then ditch it! It’s your wedding day and the only way to look your most beautiful is to feel your most beautiful! I’m sure you will look amazing with or without the tan!
