We’re not going to deny it, the search for your dream venue can be a daunting task set before you. And often, the more choice you are presented with, the more difficult it can be to make a decision! While this may be true, wedding events are just one way to distinguish which venue is right for you. The lovely Gabrielle of One Great George Street, Westminster, has set aside a little time for us to explain what you should expect at a wedding event with them…
Finding a venue is the most important aspect in organising a wedding; once this has been arranged everything else tends to fall into place. Booking with One Great George Street comes with a dedicated Wedding Coordinator (me!). This means that our couples get lots of ideas and advice included in their package. We understand that planning a wedding can be rather daunting so we make sure we make the entire experience as helpful, supportive and enjoyable as possible. The steps we take to ensure this include providing our couples with useful tools and documents including; timelines, table and floor plans, supplier lists and ‘to do’ lists. These help the planning process run as smoothly as possible.
There are often a lot of amazing suppliers to be found at wedding events. We have specifically selected suppliers from our recommended suppliers list who reflect the personal service that we provide. We are confident that they will go that extra mile to ensure that couples are in safe hands. Our attending showcase guests will have the opportunity to sample our wonderful cake suppliers’ cakes, see beautiful flower displays, hear talented musicians, meet photographers, stationers and many more.
One benefit of attending wedding events is that couples and other attending guests will have the opportunity to experience the venue as though they were actually attending a wedding. This allows them to not only touch, see and hear the tangible aspects of how amazing our weddings look but also feel the wonderful emotions, excitement and enjoyment that our guests encounter when they attend or host weddings here at One Great George Street. The showcase will also allow them to see a range of products and services that we are able to offer at the same time to allow them to determine what style, colours and theming would suit them the most.
If I could give couples attending wedding events some advice, I would recommend that they find out which suppliers are attending (find out here) and to then seek them out as a priority so to allow them to maximize the opportunity of meeting them and sampling their products.
I would also be delighted to meet them myself so we can begin to build our relationship. I know I will be busy on the day so if this is not possible there will be plenty of our other experienced event staff available. It’s always a good idea to come to such an event armed with a list of key questions and of course to bring along writing material (we will be providing these in our goodie bags). Having said all this, the most important advice I have is to have a lovely time!
We are pretty excited about this event because it is the first time we have hosted such a wedding showcase on this scale. There are lots of things to look out for such as poems in the toilets, live chef demonstrations and tastes of our cuisine.
