The guys really stepped up their game in terms of style in 2014. The suits, oh the suits! The boys got much more creative and really started to showcase their style game. We saw tweeds, waistcoats, dickie bows and brilliantly mixed up wedding parties.

2014 seemed to be the year of the man bun, or the ‘mun’ as they have become affectionatley known. But, we are going all the way down to see what these guys have been putting on their fetching feet.
Of course, the guys have gone mad with their styling and have been mixing it up in the shoe department too. The wedding party can provide their own shoes (sometimes a risky move) or grooms chose to have a pop of colour down below. Remember when shoes were just black or brown?
If the wedding is black tie, it really is compulsory for you to dig out your best black dress shoes. Black tie events are not a place where you can compromise on your outift. Don’t forget to polish those bad boys.
Considering guys have branched out suit wise, it has opened them up to a whole new world of footwear options too. With great power, comes great responsibility! What colour shoes go with a burgundy suit?! It is usually recommended to go with shoes that are a darker colour than your suit.

Brogues are big, big, big and brown brogues seem to be the way to go! Guys have the luxury of a nice variety of shoes, while not having an endless array of radically different shoes like women. There is a such thing as too much choice. One thing that does seem to be off the books for boys, is square shoes, streamlined skinny soles have become the tailored way to go.
Invest in the best. It may seem crazy to be paying a few hundred bucks for a pair of SHOES, but you will get such good use out of them. They will pay for themselves in the long run.
