In the U.K. and Ireland we are notorious for our unpredictable and ever changing weather. It can be very difficult to plan ahead, even if you just want to spend a day shopping in town. So, how can you pick the perfect date for the biggest day of your life and have good weather?
The answer is, you can’t! It’s impossible! Some couples are lucky on their wedding and get blessed with wonderful weather, not everyone can be as fortunate though.
Don’t worry though, because even though you can’t control Mother Nature you can control your wedding preparation. Below are some precautions you can take to ensure you have a fabulous day come rain or come shine.
Outdoors are In!

If you have decided on an outdoor ceremony, then yay! They are a stunning way to celebrate your marriage. Maybe you won’t mind a little bit of drizzle or a small gust of wind, but if there is an all out weather warning, what do you do!? Our recommendation would be to have a Plan B back up venue, but hopefully you won’t have to use it. Better to have it and not need it, as the saying goes.
Under my Umbrella, Ella, Ella…

If the aforementioned drizzle rains on your parade, be prepared! You can easily buy some cheap umbrellas for your wedding party and guests. Shelter yourself and just hope the shower passes…
The Grass is Always Greener
Even if your wedding day has nice weather, if it has been raining the days previous, the ground may still be a bit muddy. You can order temporary flooring, provide your guests with shoe covers, or even these cool, little heel covers for yourself and your lady guests.
